2nd Trimester

I feel so....normal!

Does anyone else feel like their pre-pregnancy selves?  I haven't had a lot of the negative side effects women are talking about on these boards, and I'm wondering if it's normal to feel so normal these days.  My energy is through the roof, I haven't experienced round ligament pain, I'm still able to sleep on my tummy, and my bump has yet to pop...I definitely felt pregnant in the first trimester (sore breasts, extreme fatigue, crazy moodiness), but I feel almost like my old prepregnancy self now (with the exception of much bigger breasts and red fingers and toes from the increased blood circulation).  Does anyone else feel this way?

  • I feel mostly normal since my m/s went away, but I could still sleep 14 hours a day if I let myself.

  • Same here... other than a slightly bigger belly, it's sometimes hard to believe I'm pregnant.
  • yes, I certainly do. From the beginning no morning sickness, no weight gain, still a tummy sleeper. Only thing I have is sore boobs from time to time but they are bigger. I still wear my pre preg clothes..... c'mon bump, pop already!Super Angry lol

Give it 3 weeks. I was still comfortably sleeping on my tummy until about 19 weeks when I started to notice a little belly... then at 20 weeks, overnight BOOM belly! With that sudden growth also came some ligament pain, lower back and hip pain. I still feel great, but not like my pre-preg self anymore. I'm definitely feeling preggo these days!

  • I second the PP who said enjoy it now lol.  My energy is pretty good, but I get winded really easily now and the round ligament is horrendous, it started for me around week 20.

  • Thank you so much for your comments, Ladies!  Sometimes I can't help myself from letting worry get the best of me, so they were very reassuring!!!  I'll take your advice and just enjoy it while it lasts Smile

Seriously, go be as active as you can be - hit the gym, go shopping, go out with friends, go hiking & have lots of sexy time with your H.  I really popped last week, and now wish I had appreciated my non-mat clothes more before I needed to move on to these.  Its amazing how the weight of even a very little belly makes sleeping/excercising/etc already makes me uncomfortable.  Gonna be a long 3rd tri!

This! I felt absolutely incredible 2nd tri but I just hit 27 weeks and now I'm having trouble bending over, I'm out of breath, my back aches and my energy's gone. :( It's going to be a loooooong 20 weeks.

  • Except for the barely-there-anymore nausea (and sore boobs), I am feeling the same way and was just thinking about this the last couple of days.  I can't wait to feel the little one kick so that I can start to feel pregnant again.  Smile

  • I know how you feel. I don't feel any different (other than not being tired all the time) than I did before I was pregnant. Even in my 1st trimester I didn't feel bad, I was just extremely tired! I don't have a baby belly yet (I'm so ready for my belly to pop!!!!) and I still end up on my stomach by the morning.
