At my last MD appt at 18 weeks I told my doc i havent felt baby move yet, she told me that I have a anterior placenta!! It makes me a little nervous not feelin gher quite yet but my doc said i def should in the next few weeks! Anyone else have this?
I had this with DS#1. I didn't feel him kick for a long while, but by the end he was kicking me so much on the top of my belly. It wasn't so bad. GL with the rest of your pregnancy.
I had an anterior placenta my pregnancy with DD and didn't really feel DD until about 20 weeks. I have been feeling the baby thistime alot and, let me tell you, I almost prefer to have an anterior placenta. It HURTS this time around. There are so days when this baby is kicking me and its as if she is scratching her nails down the inside of my uterus and it is painful!! You will be feeling LO soon enough be thankful for the extra cushion.

I have an anterior placenta, and was told (and read) that its quite common.
I felt flutters (I think?) starting around 16 weeks...but then nothing really "that was baby" until about 19 weeks. Now I'm feeling pretty regular kicks at 20 weeks.

I also have this. I didnt feel him for a while and now about a week or two ago just started to feel kicks. There are still times where I go throughout the day feeling him at work and then when I get home I dont feel as much and start to freak out. But I read that this anterior placenta is a normal thing and the Doc said it should move when the baby is bigger.
I do. I also have a low lying placenta, my midwife said it's not uncommon esp for first time mom's to not feel the baby until around 20wks or more bc it's such a light flutter feeling. I didn't feel our LO until around that time myself.

No need to worry! I have this and didn't feel the baby until 22 weeks. I still don't feel the baby everyday (I am 23 weeks 5 days) but when I do feel the kicks they are definitely kicks!
I have it. And, they didn't tell me right away when they found out. At the time, it seemed like that was something abnormal and I would've expected them to tell me when they knew. It wasn't until the night of the 20 wk anatomy scan when the Dr asked if I felt baby moving that they told me. Sure enough, I felt my little man move when we got home that night! LOL!
I've got one. I just recently started to feel Jacob kick. And it's not how you think it's going to feel. Some people say it feels like flutters or how a gold fish hitting the side of the bowl would feel. Well I feel Jacob high, like under my diaphram. (I've got a short torso) To me if feels like bubbles and I've only felt it a few times. My doc said it could be a full month before I feel anything regularly.
I have an anterior placenta. This is my first baby so I don't know anything else, but I felt flutters by 18 weeks. But didn't feel kicks until around week 21-22. My husband was able to feel her moving at 22 weeks too. My dr. said it was more of a cushion. When you do start to feel them they just won't be as strong as if you didn't have an anterior placenta.
I had one with DD and this pregnancy too. It did mean I felt movement later - around 22 or 23 weeks. This time around I felt it around 18 weeks or so, but you usually feel it earlier with the 2nd. No worries, you'll soon be feeling plenty
