TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Hi ladies, board question

I had asked the bump awhile ago about making ttcal6t it's own board rather than being a sub board. I heard from bump eileen recently, if you'd like the board separated they will do it. It may cut down on error messages but of course there if no guarantee. So, if it's okay with everyone I'll go with whatever the majority wants and then let the bump know. Let med know what you think.[Poll]

Re: Hi ladies, board question

  • :::TICKER WARNING:::

    I was always one beating the drum for this to be it's own, real board, but I will say that the IF 6+ got a lot of trolling and crap from other posters when it was made it's own board. I think it's died down at this point (I would hope so).

    Just something you might have to deal with, not saying it's not worth a few days of idiots if it's what you ladies want.

  • I kind of like that it's a sub board, but I can't really put my reasons why into words. It feels more... intimate? Like we all know each other well because there's fewer of us. It seems like if it were one of the options on the side we'd get a lot more visits and posts, perhaps, but things might start to feel less familiar. It seems like if you need this place, you'll find it. But I don't know if anyone else feels the same way.
  • I'm kind of torn on this one. It would be nice to get rid of all the error messages but at the same time, I kind of like that you have to go looking for this board to find it. I feel like it cuts down on the trolls, lurkers, and drive-bys. If it were listed on the side I think we would get a lot more people that maybe had a loss 6 months ago but were never on TTCAL, etc.

  • At first I would have preferred the board listed separate, especially with all the error messages. But I'm worried if we are listed on the side we might get more goats. I like that we are kinda hidden and if you have to know about the ttcal board to find us.

  • I definitely like it as is.  Error messages suck, but it's harder for idiots to get over here and post something stupid, and that makes it worth it, KWIM?  Thanks, 3ltlones, though, for looking into this!

  • Thanks for the replies so far. I do agree with you all, I think in the beginning, when the board was first started we would have all liked our own board. But, it is nice that it's hidden away and with the exception of just a few it's kept the crazies away! I'll wait one more day to make sure I get everyones replies and then let Eileen know.

  • What "error messages" are you guys talking about?
  • I like the board being more hidden and protected.

  • How in the sam hill does this poll have 62 votes when we've got, like, what, a dozen posters or so?
  • I wondered the same thing. Glad there were comments from people who I know post.
