Henry Xavier was born this morning at 4:38 a.m., weighing six pounds, nine ounces!
I'll post the full birth story on the natural birth board when I can, but I went into early labor around 8 p.m. Saturday night, about two hours after losing my mucus plug (and googling bloody show frantically). Early labor lasted forever - about 24 hours until my water broke the next night during a hard contraction. At the hospital at 9 p.m. I was 2 cm dilated and 60 percent effaced and at the -2 station. An hour later, I was totally thinned and he was at 0 station and things rushed on from there. The hardest part was waiting to push, but he was out in seven minutes - three pushes total.
Ladies who are planning to go epi-free, you can do it! It was hard - no doubt. At one point, I looked at my husband, and said, "If you loved me, you'd get me the epidural." But the pain was gone the second he came out and it was totally, totally worth it.
