Yeah, so I birthed

a poop. yup, I said it. It was one of those where I was truly holding onto the bowl for dear life. I was past magazine status, I was too busy concentrating. I drink water like a fish, eat well, lots of fiber, exercise, yeah I know, right?  What else can I do?  I am sore and wiped out from this afternoon. It was truly similar to labor.  The worst part, it was small. Crying

  • I did the same thing the other day. I thought if this is what labour is like, then I better get an epidural...

  • I had one of those not too long ago.  Now I have five prunes a day and a fiber one bar and everything is soooo much better.  Good luck!

  • Thanks girls. I do the fiber ones, fiber one cereal, veggies, prunes, fruits (well, not all at once) and WATER.  I have not had one of these birthing poops in awhile but today put me over the edge.  My stomach muscles are still sore.  Well, I look at it as a labor dry run.  Yes

  • Coffee and a long walk?

I get mad when you put that much work into it....and then it's small!!

  • I have food babies every once and a while, too.

Most of the time my semi-regular poops are the product of a bowl of Fiber One, a gallon of water a day, and my morning cup of coffee.

Other times, I'm crying in the bathroom praying the neighbors don't hear. Let me know what your doctor says. I'm to embarrassed to ask.

  • So sorry... but I have been there too (and been afraid I'd need a episiotomy to get it out).  Now I am deathly afraid, especially since my OB upped my iron supplement due to slight anemia, and I'm not supposed to strain (shortened cervix).

I hope you don't have any more food babies!  Feel better.

  • Ugh! I had those all the time with DS. Crying, doing labor breathing, stripped down to just a tank top holding on for dear life. I remember thinking "labor has to be something like this" and it really was. I've been lucky this time, hasn't happened as much. Its awful...

  • Oh man, this happened to me at work yesterday.  I kept thinking, well at least for birth I can have an epidural if I want and I was on the fence but after yesterday's experience I might have been swayed.

I have felt your pain.... it is awful. Luckily I have been home both times. I'm concerned they may return though because with the GD diagnosis I'm not allowed to have my fiber one ceral anymore, so I have a fiber one bar or a fiber one yogurt once a day but other than that, not much other than whole grain bread. I also got put on iron supplements.... Metamucil here I come I guess.

I'm sure glad I'm planning on an epidural though.....
