Joey got here early! PIP long
I had my baby! He got here on March 16th at 2:32 am (9 days early).
Labor was crazy! I had been having some cramps since the night before (March 14th), but they didn't hurt so I thought it was most likely false labor. Thank God I decided to pack my hospital bag anyway! We waited until contractions were 5ish minutes apart and lasting about a minute to call dr and head to the hospital which was around 7:30pm. I still didn' think the contractions hurt enough so I figured they would send me home. We got to hospital at around 8:30pm and went through triage where they discovered I was only at 2 1/2 cm and were considering sending me home. They had me walk for an hour and after that I was only at 3 1/2, but they decided to let me stay.
That's when things got a little nuts! I was laboring in an alternative birth center at the hospital so they had jacuzzis in the room so they had me get in there. I was in there for about 20 min when my contractions went from a like a 2 to about a 9! They had me moving all over the room trying different things to keep labor going quickly! By the time I was at 8cm (only about 1-2hrs after I was only at 3) I HAD to push, but they wouldn't let me yet. My water broke a little bit later and they let me push. I only pushed for only 20 min and then Joseph Thomas was born at 2:32 am! I was only at the hospital for 6 hrs and had my baby! And they almost sent me home!
BTW I was able to have my completely natural birth! Very proud of myself!
