Who still holds their baby all.the.time?

Abbie doesn't let me put her down very often. She'll nap in her crib & she sleeps in the PnP @ night, but if she's awake she wants to be held. She doesn't care much for her swing or playmat. She'll tolerate them for 10 minutes MAYBE, but then starts screaming again! When is this gonna end?

  • My LO is asleep in the bouncer right now. She most times won't let me put her down though, and I have no fix. Her worst time to need to be held for me is at 5am. I can't sleep with her in my arm, yet that's the only place she isn't screaming. :( Don't get me wrong, she's a precious lump of beautifulness but I can't sleep with her in my arm!

  • I still hold my LO all the time, but mostly because I'm going back to work in a few weeks and want to hold her as much as possible before then. I do use the Moby when I need to get things done.

  • My LO hated the swing but I think I found a little breakthrough today.  This morning at 6am after being up and trying to soothe her since her 3am feeding I wrapped her in a swaddle blanket and buckled her into the swing.  She fussed a little and then went to sleep.  Thank goodness because I was exhausted.

  • You should be really thankful that she sleeps in her crib or PNP. Mine won't sleep anywhere without one of us holding or laying with him and mostly wants to be held when he's awake too. He'll give us maybe 10 min of tummy time or hanging out in his RnP but other than that he'll just cry. He also generally doesn't like the Moby, Ergo, or carseat for more than a few minutes. I just keep trying in small doses to see if he's changed his mind. Thank goodness he's so adorable! Good luck with your LO :)

me!  she will nap in her pnp (on her belly...Embarrassed) for 1 good nap a day, and otherwise she likes to be held.  we co-sleep bc she won't sleep alone except on her tummy and we won't let her sleep overnight on her tummy yet.  but honestly, she is a great sleeper overnight--sleeps from 9 pm-10am, waking a few times to eat.  I just sleep with my boob out and she'll latch on when she's hungry.  and then during the day I try to get everything I need to get done around the house finished during her 1 good nap.

  • Not me... if he is sleeping, he goes in his RnP. The two feedings that he is wide awake after (usually 10am and 10pm) I will hold him while he is awake. We get in some tummy time and he lays in the PnP with the music going and staring at the patterns on the sides while I get some things done. For the most part, he really isn't a needy baby.

I have two other kids and there is no way in heck that I can sit and hold him 100% of the time.
