If our little one was a boy we were considering Gabriel and Micah. But we found out on Friday that we're having a little girl. I love the name Gabriel, so it will be keep on a list for a possible future baby boy.
Sorry, I'm on my phone, so I can't format.
Calvin, nn Cal - couldn't get past that it means bald/hairless, but it was still our second choice.
Walter, nn Walt - no real reason we didn't use it. Still in the running for future kiddos.
Gilbert, nn Gil - DH veto. How cute would a little Gil be?
Saul - sounds silly with our last name.

twohniyt-I like your style!
DH and I have vetoed Cole, Nathan, Everett, Samuel, and Jacob for various reasons.
Girls: Ivy and Josephine. Ivy sounds wretched with my last name, and our son is named Jack, so I don't want a Jack and Jo, we are not Duggars. So we are going with #3, Lila.
Boy: Eli/Elias/Elliott any of the three would have been this ones name if it was a boy.

Adorable! I mentioned Gilligan to DH and he laughed We also didn't use;
Gabriel - DH shot down because it's the name of one of his cousins.
Sam (Samuel), Charlie (Charles), Luke, Lucas, Gus (Angus), Benjamin, Magnus - DH shot these and a bunch of others down because he knows guys with these names. This is what happens when your husband is in the military.
Donovan, Julian, Beckett, Lucian, Milo, and Simon were shot down because he just didn't like them.
He liked:
Colin - I shot it down because the first three letters of our last name are Col. No thank you.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Aldous and Barnaby. DH didn't like Barnaby and he named Alasdair while I was in the shower post birth, when we had been waiting to use either Aldous or Alasdair. He loved the name Drake, but I vetoed it.
We are actually considering Gabrielle or Gabriella for our daughter. My only reason for not wanting to use it is that I love Gabriel so much and if we were to have a son one day I don't like the idea of have a Gabrielle/Gabriella and a Gabriel. It is on our top 5 girl name list though.
Our final 5 were: Archer, Caleb, Gideon, Liam, and Wyatt. We narrowed it down to Archer, Caleb, and Gideon. We found Caleb to be too common, and we kept going back to Gideon. We're supposedly 1 and done, but if we ever had another son, Archer will make a comeback.

Callum, Everett, Cooper, Conner, all were vetoed because they just didn't feel right. Charles was out the window because it is FIL's name and since we were using H's family tradition mn, he would have had the same name as FIL. Clark was my vote...vetoed due to our last name and the superhero association. Wow we liked C names.
My favorite name was Luca, but DH wasn't on board. I also really like the name August, but DH was even less enthusiastic about that one. We are going with Dominic, I love it but it wasn't my first choice. At least we found one that we both love.

Wow we have a son named Gideon (21 months) and live in Nashville. I have a store in Murfreesboro. I have never met another Gideon...pretty random.

On our list were Owen, Carson, Devon (DH's choice), Sean, Grady, Micah, Brennan, Curtis, Andrew
Some of these I don't like anymore, luckily I still like my DS's name though! It's Carson, it had family significance which is one of the main reasons we went with it.
Ryan - would have definitely been our child's name if this third baby had been a boy...but we're having a girl this time (brothers are Jack and Ethan).
Luke (nn for Lucas) - I always liked this one, but DH was all "I am your father" and couldn't get past that silliness.

I LOVED Caleb and Mason and DH vetoed both. His name his Jason so he thought Mason and Jason sounded dumb...I guess : )
twohniyt---what about Gabrielle for a girl??? Love that name.

Lucian - Runner up
Holden - Cousin beat us to it

Thanks for the suggestion!
DS#2 was almost Owen. I like Owen a lot, but I started hearing it so often and seeing it on here that we decided it was way to popular for us.
This was our boy's list, which obviously went out the window when I gave birth to a girl LOL
