Just got back from the doctors...and I thought there would be progress today. NOPE! Baby is still high and wile I am thinning out a bit still not dilated. Doc gave me a choice to take the baby now or wait until Thursday. I am uninducable so basically we're talking c-section. I decided to wait and see him again on Thursday still hoping that I go into labor naturally. If I make it until Thursday and still no progress I will have a c-section Friday...if there is a change then I may be induced.
Here's hoping I go between now and Thursday on my own!!!

Your doc won't let you wait until 42 weeks?
No he said he gets nervous about the health of me and the baby past 41 weeks and plus the baby is pretty big.
I hope you go on your own by Thursday!!
And you might! I went to the doctor on my due date and was told no dilation, nothing going on down there, and that they fully expected to see me the next week. My labor started THAT NIGHT!! :-)
Either way, you will see your LO by Friday... exciting!
You and I are in exactly the same boat - same due date, no dilation, nothing! I'm seeing my doctor again today. But I actually went into L&D last night because I slipped in the rain and just wanted to be checked out. So I know that I'm still in the same place, and the baby still hasn't dropped.
Is it because you're not dilated that you would have to have a c-section? I asked my doctor about that - whether you can successfully induce when you are 0 dilated. "That's a good question" was the response. I have a feeling I might be given the option of trying induction before c/s, but I'm not sure what the point is if c/s is inevitable.
My doctor will let me go past 41 weeks though, but I'm getting really discouraged and thinking that even by 42 weeks, she won't come on her own. They will NOT let me go past 42!
Basically had the same appointment today too
I have another one Thursday and if I've made any progress they'll induce on Friday. If I haven't I'll go in Monday with a good possibility of a c-section.
Hoping you go naturally before then!
My doc said I could try to induce...it's up to me...but from his experience if the baby isnt low and you arent dilated 9 times out of 10 it ends up being a C-sec. My thought is why go through all of that just to end up in a c-section anyway.
