History of IF and 2.5 years TTC. The day we were to start our first IUI we received a call that changed our lives forever and 10 month old Olivia joined our family. Shortly thereafter we got a surprise BFP and baby 2 is due July 5, 2012
Big or small? medium? about 200 people
Colors? silver and light blue
Cake flavor? I can't remember I think it was vanilla with raspberry filling
Did anything go wrong the day of? I don't think the AC was working well at our reception place..June in TX..not good!
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? hired a day of coordinator
What was your favorite part of the day? dancing at the reception but it all went by so fast
Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, It empties today of its strength. ~Corrie ten Boom
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow. ~Mary Anne Radmacher (thank you beadinglady)
It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

Big or small? big..close to 400 people
Colors? pink, white, black
Cake flavor? every layer (6 layers) was a different color
Did anything go wrong the day of? not the day of...the day we picked up the tuxes one of my brothers was being a big a$$ and it caused drama
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? nope!
What was your favorite part of the day? seeing DH for the first time
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
Big or small? I considered it big...100 or so.
Colors? Cinnamon and light green
Cake flavor? Muliptle, each layer had a different flavor and filling
Did anything go wrong the day of? Well our limo driver almost took out a stand alone atm with all of us in the car on the way to the reception, and the most of our guests got stuck in traffic so we started late, but not anything major.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? No
What was your favorite part of the day? Finally becoming his wife
Big or small? small/medium - 100 ppl
Colors? periwinkle blue, soft yellow, and white
Cake flavor? white with strawberry swirl, french buttercream frosting
Did anything go wrong the day of? sound system wouldn't work so we couldn't walk out to a song we had chosen to play... had the organist play something instead.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? yes, lots. I wasn't nearly as organized as I would have liked to have been. I wish I would have relaxed more.
What was your favorite part of the day? Enjoying the reception, the nerves had gone away at that point!
Big or small?
Um, medium? We had about 75 people.
Colors?
Pink & green.
Cake flavor?
Apricot.
Did anything go wrong the day of?
Nope.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently?
Nope.
What was your favorite part of the day?
The food! We did heavy passed hors d'oeuvres (all vegetarian) & crudites (cheese, veggies, etc.). It was AMAZING! And everyone said it was a great alternative to a served meal since you could pick & chose what you wanted. And nobody even complained about there being no meat! Even my old school Portuguese relatives, lol!
Big or small? Big
Colors? Navy and a deep/dark pink
Cake flavor? It was supposed to be choc chip...
Did anything go wrong the day of? The cake... disaster
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? Hired a different baker, lol
What was your favorite part of the day? I loved our ceremony - the pastor was awesome and DH and I were just both so excited to see each other. And my other fav part was the photobooth at our reception

Big or small? Big - 300 people
Colors? Liliac and Silver
Cake flavor? One layer was filled with strawberry -- i forgot the other 3
Did anything go wrong the day of? One very minor thing - one of our groomsmen tripped and ripped the floor runner. No biggie.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? I wish we did digital pictures but they were just coming out when we got married
What was your favorite part of the day? My brother telling how beautiful I looked when he gave me away, DH rubbing my thumbs while exchanging vows because I was so nervous, watching our moms during one of the songs, my neighbors did the music for the wedding and it was absolutely incredible, thheir gift to us was the trumpeter (sp) it was AMAZING, feeling so loved.

Big or small? Very small - we got married in the Bahamas with my parents, sister and DH's mom.
Colors? Pink and white
Cake flavor? I honestly don't remember but it was really good! I let the lady at the restaurant/venue pick it out.
Did anything go wrong the day of? My flowers were supposed to be pink but since they had to be shipped to the island something happened and they were kind of red-ish. I didn't care...
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? Not a single thing - it was so relaxed, everything was perfect.
What was your favorite part of the day? Walking down the aisle seeing DH waiting for me. I kept crying throughout the ceremony and he kept kissing me.
Big or small? Huge - almost 400 ppl.
Colors? Sage and tangerine - or green and orange as my husband said...
Cake flavor? Oh my goodness, I can't remember them all - we had a few...that's bad huh?? One was yellow with a raspberry filling...
Did anything go wrong the day of? Yes, but it is way too long to get into. It had to do with logistics of the wedding and my wedding coordinator who worked my last nerve!
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? No - but I think I would have enjoyed the day much more. It is all a blur because of everything that was going on in my life at the time.
What was your favorite part of the day? Looking at DH's face when I came down the aisle...::sniff:: :-)
Moving forward with Adoption 2017!
Big or small?small
Colors? black, blue, silver
Cake flavor? no cake
Did anything go wrong the day of? My MIL decided to be a *** and make the day all about her and how she was losing her soon. She also did not show up for dinner after.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? No
What was your favorite part of the day? our dinner with our family and friends who were able to attend

Big or small? Too big- 350 guests- exhausting!
Colors? Black and Tan
Cake flavor? Vanilla with bavarian cream filling
Did anything go wrong the day of? Power outage
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? Invite a smaller # of people.
What was your favorite part of the day? Strangely- the power outage. It was an outdoor wedding, and the centerpieces were a cluster of candles around a hurricane vase with a large candle- it was so pretty and twinkly- and oddly serene.
Colors? Periwinkle, silver & white
Cake flavor? Lemon cake w/lemon filling with white butter cream icing
Did anything go wrong the day of? The day before the programs for the ceremony didn't have my RB name on them, not biggie...we just recycled them. On the day of my wedding, I knew nothing. Found out after that my RB pants didn't fit, but his parents took care of that and everything was fine....other then that nothing happened.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? Not have asked one of my BM to be a BM - she was a BMzilla!!!! We are no longer friends and haven't been since the day of the wedding 4 years ago.
What was your favorite part of the day? There were so many wonderful moments, hard to pick out just one.....but probably the best when we were pronounced husband/wife and the look on Dh's face....pure joy!!!

Big or small? Small. Dh and I got married on the beach at the Don Cesar in St. Pete Beach, FL with just a justice of the peace, my parents, his parents, his younger brother, my older sister and her hubby and 3 kids. We had a reception a month later back at home and invited other family and friends.
Colors? Nothing really, sand and shells. And then we decorated the reception back home with sand and shells and candles- all neutral colors.
Cake flavor? After the beach wedding, we had a small white cake that I ordered from the bakery down the street from the hotel. At the reception back home, we didn't have a big fancy cake since dessert was included in the meal at the reception hall.
Did anything go wrong the day of? Nope.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? His parents have a really nice camera, so we just used their camera for pictures on the beach and around the hotel. Our justice of the peace was even nice and took some so the entire family could be in them. I really wish we would have sprung for a professional photographer. I also kinda wish we had a big fancy cake at the reception back home.
What was your favorite part of the day? Now being married to my DH.

IVF #3
Big or small? Medium, about 150 people
Colors? Champagne, Black and a soft red
Cake flavor? We had five layers and they were all different.
Did anything go wrong the day of? Not really and if it did our fantastic coordinators took care of it and to this day I don't know about any problems. Oh except our cake was supposed to be square, but was round. I got over that really quick though because it was gorgeous and delicious.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? I might have chose a different dress.
What was your favorite part of the day? exchanging vows, the food and dancing.
Big or small? BIG Italian wedding!
Colors? Fuschia, Ivory, Black
Cake flavor? simple white (bride), and delicious chocolate (groom). But we also had a chocolate table with incredible, homemade chocolate candies...omg Mmmmmmm!
Did anything go wrong the day of? Dh's shoe completely fell apart. The sole fell off of his shoe...ridiculous. Also, the church coordinator failed to tell us that there was a HUGE meeting going on at a different part of the church at the same time as our wedding, which meant that our guests had no place to park! Gotta love MH, he and his groomsmen announced to the hundreds of ppl in the meeting that we were trying to have a wedding and all of the people nicely moved their cars to the street. I love nice people
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? SOOO many things. It's not that I regret the things we did, I would just do them differently now. I was a bit naive (sp?) back then and didn't really know what I was doing.
What was your favorite part of the day? Walking down the aisle with my new husband. The entire wedding party was gathered in a room while the guests left for the reception. I just remember being in that room and, literally, bouncing with excitement saying "we're married! we're married! you're my husband!".
We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.

Big or small? Medium? 300 people
Colors? Crimson
Cake flavor? Classic wedding
Did anything go wrong the day of? Nothing major. I got lipstick on my dress, but we got it out w/ hairspray. I also forgot my guest book, but someone was able to go get it in time for guest to arrive.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? Nah!
What was your favorite part of the day? DH & I seeing each other for the first time.
Forever our's October 17th 2012
Big or small? Small, about 100 guests
Colors? Dark purple, burgandy and silver
Cake flavor? White cake with apricot preserves and vanilla buttercream and marble cake with mocha buttercream. Both were equally delicious.
Did anything go wrong the day of? My husband talked to his father for the first time in many, many years on the afternoon of our wedding and was so overcome with emotion that he was more focused on that than on our wedding vows. Once he calmed down, everything was wonderful.
Looking back, would you have done anything differently? First, I wish my husband had decided to talk to his father before the wedding so he could have attended. Second, in retrospect I would not have accepted what seemed like a very generous gift from MIL that paid for most of the wedding. We would have been better off having a simple wedding in the suburbs that we paid for ourselves.
What was your favorite part of the day? I had recently converted to Judaism and I loved all the Jewish aspects of the wedding-signing the ketubah (marriage contract), hearing the rabbi recite the 7 blessings, breaking of the glass at the end of the ceremony and during the reception being lifted in chairs for the traditional hora dance. It made me feel like a queen.
