I read the post about the sunscreen for our babies and looked up the Waterbabies bc that's what I was planning on using for DS.
Wow. So surprising (it's not just waterbabies but lots of brands). The reproductive toxicity concern on many of them have me thinking....I wonder what/if anything (any products) our parents used on us as babies had an effect on our fertility (or lack thereof).
I guess I need to pick up some California Baby. We went to a softball game yesterday and was super worried about him getting too much soon. We are going to be outside a lot in the coming months.
Re: Related/Sunscreen S/O: Wow
Wow is right!
I would have never thought to check on the sunscreen specifically made for babies. I always thought the FDA would regulate them.
It is crazy, right?! I love that site. It is sooooo eye opening. When I started looking up our regular toiletry products, I was shocked. We definitely made some adjustments as a result and I am especially careful with what I use on Eliza's skin and body.
I know there is a link between phalates (sp?!) and fertility and I always wonder how the high levels on chemicals in our toiletries effect children in general...
Yes, although I agree that I didn't wear much sunscreen as a kid...we always just used the cheap stuff, etc. I am much more cautious now with things.
