Advice on moving LO into new room?

I just finished painting DS's new room and we are about ready to move him in. He is almost 17 months. Any advice on how to make that transition as smooth as possible? TIA!

    Where does he sleep now?

    We moved recently and DS has had 3 rooms in the past couple of months (3 houses too). we didn't do anything special, just continued his bedtime routine as always. He woke up a night or two, but has STTN since.

    We did it slowly.  Let her nap in whichever she wanted, crib or toddler bed.  Now she likes to rock in her old room for a few minutes then gets down and goes to her new room.  I am okay with this.  She will eventually give up the few minutes of rocking when the baby moves in there.
