Ok girls who is going to rock a bikni this summer? My MIL thinks I shouldn't. I am trying to find a nice way to tell her I am going to be rocking a bikini and there is nothing she can say or do to change my mind.
I think I might. I need to wait and see what I look like, of course, but I will at least go with a tankini type. Who does your MIL think she is to tell you what you should and shouldn't wear. I think I would wear one just to spite her now. Ha!

I will be all bikini at my in-laws pool, but I'm not sure about the beach. I may opt for a tankini at the beach. Your MIL is being weird...mine can't wait to see my belly in a bikini!
Oh heck yeah I will. That's where DH and I spend most of our summer since they have a pool. So the bikini will be coming out or maybe my DH and I will just be doing weekends on our boat and that way I wont have to worry about her saying anything. Cause after all you dont want to mess with a pregnant women lol

Thats what I was thinking. Who is she to even say anything to me anyways.

It's not her body -go for it!
Thanks girl and even if she does get mad she will get over it.
I've always thought that I look horrible in a one piece - it just doesn't work for a small chested person who does have a bit of a booty! I'm sure I'll at least go tankini if not bikini this summer. I live away from relatives though, so I don't have to worry about rude comments!
I'm going the tankini route for vacation but if we're just around the family pool I may go with a bikini bc I don't plan to buy multiple suits just to wear when I'm pregnant.

Lucky girl. Although mine are 15 miles away its not far enough some days.
my feeling is, if you looked good in a bikini pre-pregnancy you will probably look super cute in a bikini pregnant. if you didn't look good prior, you probably will look worse. i fall into the second category, personally, so i will be rocking a two-piece that more resembles a shirt, lol. if you feel good and confident, i say more power to you. you dont need her permission, that's for sure. besides, will she even be with you at the beach or pool? i'd just write her off and not even bother to tell her of your plan. even if you're on a joint vacation i'd just suit up and enjoy myself. any comment she'd make at that point would only make her look like a tool, anyway, lol.

I plan on wearing my regular bikinis in the privacy of my backyard by the pool. However, I will have to wait and see how I feel about myself when it comes to publically donning a bikini. If I get stretch marks,a tankini it will be.

I say just wear it and who cares what she thinks! What's she going to do, make you change your clothes?
I also say kudos to you ladies who will be rocking the bikini, or any swimsuit! I'm not excited to even buy shorts this summer since it looks like someone smeared cottage cheese on my butt over the last few weeks.
I'm currently rocking a bikini when I go to the gym and swim (it's actually a sports bra and bikini bottoms) and I haven't gotten any rude comments (yet).
I plan to continue to wear a bikini all summer long, the in-laws live on a lake and we have a pool. But when I'm around my grandparents at their cottage, I'll probably just throw a tank top on over my bikini...because I know my grandpa would have a conniption seeing my big 'ol bare belly hanging out for the world to see.

If my husband and I both think I look cute, I will wear one no doubt! And if someone doesnt like it - look away. Do you know how many ppl are wearing suits that dont belong on them here in FL? Please!
absolutely. i did with my first pregnancy too. i found that i definately get wider so the string bikinis (where the sides tie) are great because you can adjust them as you get wider!
I'm going with a probably not for this summer... If I was 5-7 months around the summer, I definitely would. However, with a mid-July delivery date, there's just no way. This is my first non-bikini summer in as long as I can remember!
Friends have given me their maternity tankini's for this summer. I'll most likely be rocking those, if anything. I'm not sure what type of shape my stomach will be following the births of the twins!
You should sport whatever you're most comfortable in! Don't let anyone tell you what you can/can't wear!!
Gaining this baby belly has been a bit of an adjustment for me so as of right now, heck no, I won't be sporting a two piece. Just not confident enough. Maybe this will change in the months to come. I wish I could rock one out like you! Have you found any cute ones?

Yes at Target. They have lots of different sizes and you can pick which ones you want. I got an xl top and a large bottom. They fit great. I will have to see how it goes over the next few months or so. As I said before we have a boat so I am sure we will be taking it out a lot this summer so I just might have to sport a tank top over my bikini from time to time.

I'm not really a fan of pregnant women in bikinis, so I won't even be wearing one in my own back yard! (We have a pool).
That being said, if you want to wear one, I don't see how it's any of your MIL's business!
My torso is too long to comfortably wear swimsuits. And that was pre pregnancy.
I will be wearing tankinis and bikinis this summer when I swim.
To each their own. I think you should do what you want.
