S/O sex, but after you deliver...

I don't know how many of you have thought about this, but the sex during pregnancy made me think of after the baby arrives. It took me 8 weeks to feel "comfortable" to even try to have sex, and not feeling utterly exhausted! It didn't work then b/c it hurt so bad. But we tried again at 9 weeks post-partum and it was better. It was a long healing process for me down there I guess!

    I think it was around 11 weeks till it didn't feel like my stitches were ripping.  Not a good feeling.  When people say they just couldn' t wait till their 6 week appt. I am always impressed lol.

    after my first i waited 8 weeksand after my second i waited a week(hubby and i hadnt had sex in 4 months and we couldnt wait any longer ;p ) so with this baby there is no telling lol

    My OB told me at my 6 week appointment to have a couple of glasses of wine and lots of lube so it wouldn't hurt so much.  It killed, I think I finally started to feel better around 6 months...and I only went to 8cm before baby went into distress and had a c.  I can't imagine sex after a VB.

    My DH was waiting like a dog in heat the night I got cleared at my 6 week appt. It hurt bad enough having a c/s; I can't imagine having had a vaginal delivery.

    this!!! i'm really nervous........ i've been trying to subtly let DH know i have some major fears about what to expect down there..... I had surgery down there a few years back and to get back into having sex i had to have the Dr prescribe me a gel that numbs the area..... it defeats the purpose ofhaving sex really - but it certainly menat things were more comfortable

    after dd was born, dh was begging, begging.  so i finally gave in at four weeks.  it was terrible!  we were rushed, it was horribly painful, i ended up tearing a bit where my stitches had been, and then dd started screaming for us.  so this time i've told him that we're going to wait longer.

    holy yikes. we're going on vacation about 8 weeks after I'm due, hopefully we can enjoy some summer lovin'!

    I have a feeling I will be waiting a long time. DH deploys shortly after LO is born so that means it'll be sometime next year when we will finally be able to have sex again.
