I figured after a few weeks on formula with no problems means it work, guess not. DS was on soy formula because DS1 and 2 were on it so I went right to it to avoid issues. Everything was going well until about a week ago. He really started spitting up alot. I changed his formula to Similac Sensitive. Some feedings are ok and some he still spits up alot. Seems to be the same as the soy. Is alot of spit up normal or should I change it again. And has anyone had experience with the Similac Spit up formula. There are so many out there I hate to keep changing it all the time, especially when I don't even know if I should or he is a kid that just spits up alot.

Did you all talk to your doctors about switching the formula? That could cause more problems. My DD has issues from day 1. We talked it over with our Pedi and this is what helped us. We keep here in a more upright sitting position when we feed her and we make sure she takes a beak between each ounce, we don't move her to quickly from one position to another. Now she only spits up every once in a while instead of every time. The also said babies spit up as long as they don't seem uncomfortable and they are gaining weight there's no reason to switch formula, which will screw with their digestive system.
Spitting up is completely normal in a newborn since their esophageal sphincter is fully developed which allows things to come back up. Eventually over time it will get better. If your LO isn't showing signs of distress from it and not having a weight issue then it is considered just a laundry issue. If your DS starts to show discomfort of any sort then it may be reflux.
In the time being, however, try sitting him up at least a 45 degree angle while eating, burp him in between ounces, and make sure to keep him upright after feedings and not to jostle him around.
Also, if you do try the formulas designed for spit up then prepare yourself for the possibility of constipation.
DS 1 & 2 were both on soy. DS 3 was on Gentlease cause he had reflux. SO when DD started spitting up a lot and was really gassy I immediately switched her to Gentlease and she rarely spits up at all.
