no milk??

so i fed DS and then roughly an hour later i tried to pump because i need to start making a freezer stash for when i go back to work..but when i started to pump..barely anything came out. did he empty me out?! i just stopped after trying for a little bit because i started getting frustrated and freaking out a little bit. this is normal right??

    I notice i have less to pump as the day goes on. And when I first started pumping after feeding LO it started slow. I ended up using fenugreek for a little while to boost supply to help get my freezer stash started. But from what I hear even just trying to pump helps increase supply by telling you're body you need more milk made.

    Try a 2nd letdown after 10-12 minutes if your pump has the option. That always works for me to get a little extra.

    that just happened to me. In the morning is usually when I get my best pump in and as the days goes on the less I can pump. I ordered mother's milk tea and it should be in tomorrow so I can up my supply. I've also tried power pumping at night, but I haven't seen an increase yet

    I made a post a couple days ago it's titled So Glad. . .

    This was in regards to pumping.  I noticed the same "problem" and asked around and the best response I got was that my body was so perfectly tuned to my LO that there wasn't any extra. So I started pumping half way through his long nap because even though a pump can't get anything after your "empty" there is a constant flow that your LO can access.  The first few days were kind of depressing because I only got an ounce total but now I am getting about 3 ounces and my LO is still getting what he needs.

    ok i just read your post! when you first started pumping..did you do it in the morning? or did you just start during the naps? when i tried pumping tonight it was just like drops coming out! i was so upset lol..but im going to try in the morning to see if i can get some more out..i hope so! thanks!

    No I tried in the morning too but he literally was eating everything I had.  His long nap is 5 hrs from 12-5 so I started pumping half way through so I knew I had some there and so I had time to have more for my LO.
