It's amazing what some granite tile and stainless steel appliances will do, Not to mention, we painted the walls red, though not around the cabinets because we will eventually have a backsplash. DH worked so hard on it, and I'm so proud of him!

Looks great! WE just redid our kitchen too with granite slab and new paint, etc....I want to redo the floor now too! Good luck - I love home improvement stuff!

We're in! Been here 9 days now. I was a bit nervous. We had my in-law's over for dinner last night and until about 3pm, I still had the range and dishwasher in my living room. Talk about down to the wire.

Ha, nope. Actually, it wasn't so bad. I had boxes that were unpacked and a bunch of stuff on the table that I was waiting for DH to be done to unpack. The IL's (including DH's aunts) were there when DH finished hooking up the dishwasher (last thing to do), and they instantly got to putting stuff away. By that point, I just wanted it to all feel settled, so I didn't really care much.

It looks great, DH did good! My DH did some kitchen updates around here....and 3 months later the backsplash grout is still not sealed! How do you keep him motivated? Stick out tongue
