Head cold and IUI

DH and I are going through our first IUI in the beginning of April.  I just started 100 mg of clomid and feel a cold coming on.  Usually when I feel a cold coming on I start taking mucinex, zinc tablets and double up on my allergy meds to try and catch it.  Now I am very nervous taking anything extra in case it messes up my IUI.  Do you think they will be ok to still take?  If this turns into a full blown cold, do you think I can take NyQuil or over the counter meds?  What would you ladies do?

    Go to the dr now. Tell them that you are also planning an iui. Get it cleared up, now. I am doing a d-iui this week, and I am finishing antibiotics tomorrow from walking pneumonia-that I thought was from allergies...

    My RE is fine with you taking anything that is fairly easy on the system and usually recommends the appropriate iteration of Tylenol (e.g., cold and flu).  I hope you feel better soon!
