It's ok...I have known two people with this name that were pretty horrible, so I don't have positive associations with it, but I don't think it's "slutty".

I'm just a lurker, but I had to share: at one of my Dr visits when I was pregnant (my DD is 6 weeks now) the medical assistant asked if we had a name picked out. When DH & I told her we were naming the baby Olivia she said "Oh that's a sexy name". DH & I just looked at each other like wtf?! Who wants to hear the name they picked out for their little girl is sexy (which I don't think Olivia is btw)!

Also, I don't think Veronica is slutty at all.

This name has come up a lot recently. A couple days ago there was a strong opinion that it might be a snobby sounding name based on the Archie character. I don't think anyone brought up slutty.

My first thought is of St. Veronica, so no, definitely NOT slutty!

There was a recent thread on this. Veronica is traditionally a Saint's name in Catholic circles. It reminds me of beauty and holiness, not sluttiness.

I guess I just don't think a name can be "slutty"...I really hate that women use this word to describe each other, but that's a whole other story...

I like it. It's a classic name and I have positive feelings towards it. One of the best heroines ever written for T.V. is Veronica Mars and she was incredibly smart.

Hmm...I think the common nn for Veronica is Ronnie and in spanish is Vero, never heard Vicky for Veronica before. I thought Vicky = Victoria? I also do not like Vicky at all!
