I'm putting my registry together with an eye towards getting items for when the little one is older. I really wanted to make my own baby food and, while i realize that steaming and then processing food is not that difficult, i had seen this baby food maker - The Beaba baby food maker (see link below):

It looks really handy but has gotten some really, really mixed reviews.... thought i'd go straight to the source and see what moms have done in the past and if anyone has any opinions on this - waste of money or time saver? TIA!

I know you probably can't put this on your registry, but honestly I would recommend a good cuisinart food processor. Something you can use for a long time after your baby food making days are over. Just pick up a simple steamer basket and you can steam things in a regular pot.
same here, loved mine. and esp liked that you can steam veggies/fruit and the just dump right in the same unit to blend/process, which you can't do with a food processor. i would recommend it.
