As someone that is uncertain what double stroller I want/need, I was just wondering why you chose the City Mini Double? Does it adapt to an infant car seat? I'm guessing yes? What are the features that made you choose it?
Just wondering what your thoughts are. I'd love to hear your perspective.
Thanks!
Re: Dbertagni
Well, believe it or not the City Mini comes with NOTHING (no cup holder/tray, no belly bar, no parent console). It is all a la carte, and it is not compatible with my car seat (you can buy the adapter). My main reason for wanting this stroller was that I test drove a TON of them, and this by far was the easiest to steer, as well as the fact it folds in half so that it can fit into the trunk of a sedan. It was also the most light weight, and the best individual sunshades and seat recline, etc. I read all the reviews and over and over people said this was the best buy. It can fit through all doors, aisles in the stores, mall, etc.
I am not planning on getting the infant seat adapter, but I am going to get a snuzzler to add to it as I plan just to use this for trips with both the kids where there will be a lot of walking. I am going to keep my Chicco for the baby until he outgrows the infant seat then I am going to sell the whole system. The other reason I liked this stroller is it holds its value and I've seen used ones selling for $250 or more online. I test drove so many and I hated the front to back strollers, they felt like a caboose, this stroller was just amazing to push! I'd highly suggest a test drive of anything you are looking at!
I knew it didn't come with any extras which stinks, but it's not a deal breaker. I have to admit the price scared me away a little bit, but that $299 deal on albee is pretty enticing. I know I should at least test one out, but if I get one, I want a deal!
I have the same plans for our Graco travel system, I was just gonna sell the whole thing when DD2 outgrows it. I'm not a huge fan of it anyways, but I might as well use what I have.
I've got to get to a BRU to test one, but the closest one to me is 45 min away so it's a pain to get there!
Thanks for the input.
I don't think BRU sells them in store. I had to go to a specialty shop to try one out (Smart Momma in Raleigh) and then Buy Buy Baby had them but it was put up high so I couldn't test it.
ETA: It looks like some BRU carry them but I don't think mine did. For sure call before you go!
Ahh, ok. Good to know. I'll find somewhere to check them out.
