  I think you need to lurk a little bit more; I think this name comes up at least three times a week.

  I think it's an alright name. I think it's nicer than Claire, and I like its simplicity, but it doesn't really wow me or anything.

  LOVE IT!  It's very unique and sounds very prettty.. I love it with liek an Elisabeth or a bit of a longer name... go for it!

  I went to elem school with a Blaire - she was such a brat.  So personally I'm not really a fan

  I also think of the Blair Witch Project, but that could just be because of my age.

  With that said I do like it better than Claire

  If you have any other names you are considering, you could kill two birds with one stone. Use the other name you are considering, with Blair as the middle name. Then you don't even have to ask us for middle name suggestions! Everybody wins!

  I like it! But, it reminds me of "Gossip Girl"  and since in every magazine/tv show the name "Blair Waldorf" is synonymous with preppy and snobby that's what I think of too. When a name goes into the pop culture mill, it's hard to get away from references like that.

  That said, I doubt the show will be on much longer, so you may never come across that reference yourself.
