GTKY: What is your favorite clothing store?

I just went shopping, and spent quite a bit of time browsing in my favorite store that I can't afford, Anthropologie. What is your favorite store to look in but not (or rarely) buy? What is your favorite store that you actually buy a lot of clothes from? Mine is a three way tie between Gap, Old Navy, and Loft.

Just kidding. Although I wish I could afford it, but even if I did I'd have no wear to wear it. I like Victoria's Secret clothing. The stuff online that you don't see at the store. But I can't make myself splurge on it. I used to like Rue 21 but I've kind of outgrown it. I do love Pacsun still though. And Macys!

  • I love j. crew but hardly ever buy from there - we don't have one here so that's a big part of it. I'm also in to anthropologie, and like the banana republic-gap-old navy trifecta.
  • Hmm, not sure where I would shop if I cost was no object, I would probably trade all my coach bags in for louis vuitton bags! haha

I normally shop at Black White House Market, J Crew, Banana Republic, The Loft, The Limited, and Express! I think that covers it! :) I love love love to shop!

  • Anthropologie is my favorite store, and most of my favorite clothes come from them, but I agree they're definitely out of my price range for shopping sprees.  I buy almost everything off the sale rack and it's still pretty steep.  I think it's worth it for the quality and detail of most of the pieces though.

However, where most of my clothes actually come from?  Old Navy, haha!  I consider them a lot more "disposable" and generally only can get one or two seasons of wear out of the clothes.  They have some adorable dresses right now that I scooped up with the Give and Get 30% off discount :)

  • I love NY&Co.  Their clothes fit me the best of any other store.  I also like The Gap and Old Navy, and I'm not ashamed to say that A LOT of my casual clothing comes from Target Smile
  • I'm a j.crew addict!  However, most of their regular in-store stuff is too expensive, so I frequent their outlet quite often.  Plus, I'm a teacher, and we get an extra 15% off at the regular and outlet stores...bonus!

  • Most of my work clothes come from Maurices and Belk. I regularly stalk the clearance racks. I have also started buying a lot of my work clothes at Target.

I love American Eagle, but only buy things on clearance.

  • I obsess over Banana & JCrew, but rarely buy stuff that's not from the outlet...my closet is just about 100% Loft!

ETA: I think the next GTKY should be about fav barnyard animals....

  •  I cant pick one: The Loft,Calvin Klein outlet, H&M, Gap, Old Navy.

  • I try not to go into stores I can't afford.  I usually go to Kohl's and Old Navy.  You can get some pretty good deals.
  • I live in NY&C for work staples like pants and sweaters. Old Navy and Forever 21 are great for my basics and fun cloths. When I want to drool I go to Anthropology.

  • My current favorite store is the Limited. I feel like I get good deals with sales, coupons, and the educator discount. I am also a big fan of Banana Republic. I get great deals there by watching the sales. I shop at Loft too.

This.  I just went on a mini-shopping spree at NY&CO and plan to hit up Old Navy and Gap tomorrow to use the Give and Get coupon.

I really don't know what store I would shop in if money was no object, because I rarely go in stores that are out of my price range.  Only happens when I'm with my mom or sister.  Maybe J. Crew.
