i just wanted to let you ladies know that i just used 2 expired coupons at the Walmart self check-out and they were accepted! so i saved 2.50 with expired coupons. dont throw yours away!!
i would never not scan anything, thats not my style. like the other post saysl, target accepts then and so does bed, bath & beyond as well as im sure some other stores...so its really not the worst thing. and it was only 2.50 so its not a big deal
Stores generally have 30 to 60 days after the expiration date to redeem them with the manufacturers. Generally, I only try to use coupons that are expired by just a few days, and I don't go through self checkout...I let the cashier make the call.
The store I work at (not a walmart) doesnt accept expired coupons..The manufacturers wont pay them for it.. We do take our own expired up to 30 days after the date..
But walmart only takes one coupon..They dont do store/manufacturer/vendor which is sucky.. But my store does! So I dont shop often at walmart..
Re: You can use expired coupons at Walmart
I suppose you probably CAN use expired coupons at a self-checkout, but it's coupon fraud, which is pretty much a form of stealing....
You could probably "forget" to scan things too, but I really wouldn't recommend it.

The Target employees & manager told me that they accept them and not to throw them away because they will gladly take them.
Their official policy is not to accept expired coupons, though I have heard of WalMart stores that will take them. I've never tried at mine.
I do know they take coupons from competitors and will honor competitors' advertised prices (i.e. 2 boxes of Cheerios for $2), if you bring the ad in.
