Followup to Ectopic pregnancy

So although level rose again the ultrsound today revealed nothing in uterus and not in tubes..so tomorrow I at 715am I am taking methotraxate shot cuz RE office gave me one hour to get to them and that was impossible! So besides cramping how did you feel after that SHOT?

    I felt fine after my shot for the most part. I bled about 2 weeks later and then my beta never went down to 0 for 6 weeks, after that I got my first AF about 2 weeks later. Good luck. The shot is uncomfortable as you have to drop trou and the RN will stick it into your butt cheek.

    I felt fine after the shot-no side effects. I bled 5 days later and it took a little over 2 weeks for my beta to drop to zero (it was around 1000 at the time of the shot). It took me another 4 weeks to start my period. I'm sorry you're going through this.

    TTC #1 since 7/09
    Dx: LPD, underdeveloped follicles, blocked left tube
    3 C/P, 1 BO, 1 Ectopic
    IVF#1=BFN (3/11)
    FET#1=BFP

    Thanks ladies! This whole process has turned into a nightmare! I really appreciate your feedback! Sadly once this over I am going to take a 3 month break get my body together. 2 BFP followed by m/c in 4 mos is making me crazy!!

    I'm sorry to hear that. The shot itself was not bad (just like a PIO), but I was really tired for a few days afterwards. Hard to tell, though, it could have been because I was completely emotionally exhausted as well. ((HUGS))
    Dx: High FSH, stage IV endo, homozygous C677T MTHFR and PAI-1
    Early loss 10/08
    Lap 1/09
    IVF #1 "natural IVF" - 1 egg retrieved, missed m/c
    Tried several mini-stim cycles with no response
    Switched clinics - dx'd as carrier for Fragile X
    IVF #2 MDL protocol Jan/Feb converted to IUI, BFN
    IVF #2 take 2: Antagonist, one embie, BFN
    IVF #3: Antagonist, no fertilization
    One last ditch effort at OE IVF (antagonist with Clomid) cancelled
    DE cycle #1 Jan/Feb 2011, BFP, ectopic
    DE cycle #2 June/July 2011 - BFP
    10/28/11 Baby girl lost at 17 weeks due to pre-term labor. We love and miss you.
    DE cycle #3 June/July 2012 - BFP, twins, both heartbeats stopped, D&C
    2 frosties but don't know what's next
    FET Dec 2012: BFP! Praying this one sticks for the long haul!

    Tiered and cranky as heck.

    Then a week later I began the bleeding.

    My hips STILL hurt from my shots (2) on Nov 5th.

    After 7 rounds of clomid and HcG, Three failed IUI's with an ectopic pregnancy, two shots of methotrextate, ER visits, breaks, low (3%) morphology One IVF cycle (lupron, gonal-F) that ended in another ectopic, more methotrexate, A Lap to disconnect both tubes, remove endo and a hydrosalphinx, . . .we are finally expecting TWINS from FET#1!
    1.11. 2011: Beginning FET cycle!
    3.11.11- FET! (DH's birthday!) 2 blasts transfered!
    3.20.11- BETA #1 BFP!!! 272! (9dp5dt)
    3.23.11- BETA #2 1346!!! (12dp5dt)
    4.8.11- U/S #1. . TWINS!!! . . .TWO BOYS!

    Two C/P and Lots of Tests
    Me = LPD + cancer survivor, DH = low count and morphology
    IUIs #1-5, January 2011 - June 2011 = BFN
    IVF #1 in July/August 2011 = BFP!!!!!

    Thanks ladies I had the longest u/s again today from hell and then had the shot. Thanks for answering all my questions. I go back next Wednesday 3/23 for another dosage of methotrexate:(

    Yep given beta rising I had to have 2 shots praying I don't need a third
