For those with recent +betas...

It seems like we've gotten a mini-bfp wave going on the past couple of weeks and I have a question for those who have had +betas. I guess I could ask this on PAIF but I try not to lurk on pregnancy boards because it is depressing! Anyway I am 7dp5dt and currently obsessing over my lack of symptoms. I have decided not to poas because I am too scared to see that white line. Did you have any symptoms before your beta? Any cramping, sore boobs, etc?

Sorry, I just need to obsess for another 5 days before my beta!! Thanks!

I didn't have a single "symptom." The night before beta I was convinced it failed, but I had a pretty high beta#1 (and I'm pregnant with a singleton).

Even now at 6 weeks, my boobs are only slightly sore and I'm tired and go to bed earlier than usual, but rarely nauseous and have never "felt sick." I'm driving my RE crazy because I keep thinking something is wrong, but my E2, P4, and beta levels are all high. I also only really have my symptoms at night (weird) which is also part of the reason I go to bed early.

Good luck! Symptoms come and go, so don't try and read too much into it!

I know I'm not pregnant now, but when I was, I felt slightly nauseous and had the runs. HTH.

I've also had a B.O. and they are the worst!! The day of my first u/s was the worst day of my life.

I had cramping around O time that was new. After I had no symptoms except a lot of discharge (yellowish in color)... in fact, when I POAS I thought I was just crazy for thinking there was another line and went back to sleep. A few days after my second beta I got the sore boobs, especially the nipples, af like cramps, and fatigue... now things come and go. Either way, I think that lack of symptoms doesn't mean a thing especially in the 2ww. It's so early that you prob won't experience anything. Good luck!

Chizzle, you should POAS tomorrow. I don't know how you can wait! With my m/c, I got a + @ 7-8 days after 5dt!!

Are you planning on POAS? My husband is out of town so I don't want to be alone if I get a -hpt.

I will...just because I can't wait. Our clinic makes patients wait sooo long! I just read an IVF book last night that suggested the 1st beta be drawn 9 days after ER (not ET)!! It said that the 1st beta would be low but would let you know if in fact an embryo was implanting.

I am so nervous. This was our 3rd fresh and overall 4th IVF attempt (and the same book from last night suggested to stop trying after 4 IVF's ) . We have 1 fresh cycle left on our guaranteed program if this one didn't work. But, if this cycle failed, we will take several months off. I have gained 20lbs in the last 2 years of IF treatments. I will take time off to try to get healthy again. But, I would much rather have a baby this Fall!!!

I was 100% convinced this didn't work on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week which was 7 & 8 dp4dt and I cramped just like I was going to start AF and I POAS and they were both negative but then on day 9 i saw a very faint line and the cramps slowed down a little and by that evening I took a digital POAS and it said pregnant so I relaxed. My beta was 51 at 10dp4dt and i'm waiting on my doubling number in the morning. the cramping/odd feelings down low are occurring on and off, but i just sit down and relax a little and they sometimes go away. my boobs were sore last night but not as bad this morning and I feel super bloated. i had a minor wave of nausea this morning but it has since resolved. My doc makes you wait 14 days past your egg retrieval. Good luck to you!

I was convinced it hadn't worked before my beta. No symptoms whatsoever. I kept expecting the cramping and I had none of that. Now I have shortness of breath with little effort, I am thirsty and sometimes nauseous now. I could probably count the number of cramps on both my hands. I tend to periodically freak out now when I feel good, because I want to feel something (and hopefully I will regret these words later on:)

Hey sweetie, I'm wishing you so much luck!!!! I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms, but I did get OHSS. Pregnancy symptoms didn't start until 6 weeks. Good luck!!
