BFing at the zoo?

Are there any areas for this? Trying to plan ahead, I think we live too far away for me to take DS to the zoo, spend time there, and then come all the way home without him eating.

  • I fed W at the lunch table. There were probably more BF'ing moms than there were animal exhibits. Nobody blinks an eye.

Haha, awesome. I was hoping this would be the case, but I have yet to BF in public. I guess a mom-filled public place is the best place to start!

  • Totally. If you don't feel up to NIP, you could always stroll back to the car to feed M, then go right back into the zoo. Have fun!
  • There are oodles of BF'ing moms on every bench at the zoo. But if I want some privacy or comfort I walk down the hill towards the old entrance. There is a bench on the deck under the arbor. I like it because it's shaded and tucked away.

  • Yeah, I saw BFing moms at every seating area. I have a cover that I like to use that goes over my head - but you definitely would be in good company at the zoo. Also, I very frequently nurse in my car wherever I am - It's usually more comfortable than a bench or hard chair :)

I'm not really sure why but this made me laugh!

  • If you want somewhere private, there is a peace garden in between the bird house and the bears, and there is a private path between gibbon island and the walkway along the train track as well.
