Hi February Moms and Congrats!!! I'm due in July and was reading the 1 month weight gain post. Just wondering how many of your LO's wore NB sizes (vs going straight into 0-3) and for about how long.
My LO was 8 lb 1 oz at birth and wore NB sleepers until recently, he has started not fitting in all of them any more. As for onesies he still fits in NB onesies. I didn't notice as much of a difference with the onesies between NB and 0-3 mo however with the sleep and play pjs his arms didn't quite fit in the 0-3 until maybe the last couple of days but in the NB his arms fit right away. I still don't feel like NB sizes are necessary, the only reason I had any was because they were given to me.

My LO was 6 lbs 4 oz at birth and at 5 weeks the newborn clothes and sleepers are just starting to fit right. Until now newborn onsies were the only thing that even fit him.
Mine is 6 weeks and still fits into NBs. Even with diapers although we graduated him to size 1 which are HUGE on him. He was 8 lbs 3 oz at birth and was 9 lbs at his 1 month check up. Keep in mind different brands fit differently. My observations have been that Carter's stuff has fit best for NB, Gap is too big, Inktastic too big, Threadless too short, Gerber too skinny and long. My LO is 9 lbs and 21.5 inches long now. If that helps. GL.
My baby was born 10lbs 11 oz.. never was in NB diapers, and was only in NB for about a week or so (he lost a whole lb after he got home.. so during that time he was in NB)
My LO was 7pbs. 11oz at birth. I never got newborn with my first 2 and didn't with this one. The 0-3 were a bit big for about 2 weeks but I think it's better to go alittle larger than buy clothes for a week or two.

DS was 6# 10.7 oz and 18" at birth and got down to 6# 1 oz. It's taken a while for him to get back to his birthweight (just now back to it at a month). Newborn is still a little big on him, and I bet we'll be in this size until he's at least 2 months.
MY LO was born at 39 weeks and was 6lb 14oz. At first NB was too big but now at almost 6 weeks they fit and are starting to get a bit snug. We will be moving on to 0-3 probably at about 7-8 weeks. He is around 8 pounds now
LOL! I feel like I have a ginormous child compared to all of the other responses! My girl was 9 lbs 9 oz at birth (born 1 day before her due date), lost a tiny bit, and is now up to about 10 lbs 5 oz. She never fit in newborn clothes, and has recently moved out of newborn diapers as well. We brought her home in 0-3's, and in the past week I've started putting her in some of her 3 month clothes. She's not even a month old yet.
I only had NB footed sleepers for DD. She grew out of those at about 3 weeks due to height. Last week she was 9lbs 11oz and 22 1/2 inches, so she's tall. I think we will be in 3-6 sleepers soon for height. She still fits in 0-3 in everything else.
Our LO was 6lbs 15oz at birth and 20" long, and went down to 6lbs 5oz when we came home. All his NB and 0-3 stuff was huge on him. We got him a couple preemie things that he wore for 2 weeks but besides that wore all NB size diapers and clothes until 6 weeks. He is 7 weeks today and is 10.5 lbs and 22" long now and he is just starting to fit into 0-3 month in certain brands like carters and gerber Pjs. For onesies and pants though he is mostly still wearing all size NB even at 10.5 pounds because he is long and skinny.

Pretty much the same. But LO is not fitting in her NB onesies any more they are getting snug lengthwise. But most of her NB sleeper are still fitting her. Good Luck.
