How much weight gained at 1 month?

I'm just trying to get an idea of what the average is like; we weighed LO tonight on a produce scale from my parents' business (so the weight we got was a tad approximate) but she came out to about 9lbs... up from 6lbs15oz at birth (or 6lbs9oz at her three-day appointment). I knew she felt bigger, but whoa!

6 lb 1 oz at birth, down to 5 lb 2 oz at her 4-day appointment and up to 8 lbs even at 1 month. Smile

She was 8.1 at birth and when we left the hospital 5 days later she weighed 7.12 and at her one month she weighted 9.4 so she is doing real good at gaining weight. Also have been noticing that she is getting long faster then she is gaining weight she is in a 3 month onesies,The NB fits her really snug.

DS 6lb 8oz at birth and 9 lbs 9oz at his 1mos check up

DD 7lbs 5oz at birth and 8lbs 6oz at her 1mos check up.

It really depends on the child.

Clara weighed 6lbs 15oz at birth, 7lbs 2oz at 3 weeks after her illness, and 8lbs even at a month. Her doctor is happy with her weight gain. She eats like crazy!

My little chunker was 7.13 at birth 7.10 at his 1 week had to go back 1 week later since he wasn't at his birth weight and he was 9lbs even. Now at 5 weeks he is 11lbs 4oz!

Birth: 9lbs 14 oz

First Pedi visit @ 4 days old: 10lbs 3 oz

2 week follow-up @ 19 days old: 11lbs 1 oz

So.. Not even a month old and we've already gained nearly 2 lbs. It helps that he's already eating 4 oz of formula every 3 hours like clockwork.

Left hospital: 6lb. 12 oz

2 day after leaving hosp. he was 7lbs. 1oz.

1 week- 7lbs 5 oz

2 week: 7lb 3 oz

1 month 8lb 8oz and grew 2 1/2 in. since birth

Born at 6lbs 15 oz, down to 6lbs 5oz at discharge, and back to 6lbs 14 oz at 1 week apt.

We did not have to bring him back for a 1 month check up because he got his shot at the hospital, and was back to his birth weight by 1 week. We have weighed him at home on our scale and he is around 10 pounds now at almost 7 weeks, so he has gained around 4 pounds.

Maggie was 6lbs 11 oz at birth, 6lbs 2 oz at discharge, 7lbs 2 oz at 2 weeks and 9lbs 2 oz at 5 weeks. I can't believe she gained 2 lbs in 3 weeks! She nurses like a champ
