And now my newbie has a temp :(

It's 99.2, and she's acting normal, so I'm not freaking out just yet. But, I just might lose it if we end up at the hospital! My nicu baby was less stressful than this one!!

    :(  None of this funny business, baby!  Mama doesn't need this.  Fridays are supposed to be for relaxing, not worrying.

    I hope she gets back to normal soon.

    How did you take the temp? If rectally, that is completely normal (hope this is the case! :)

    Aww poor sweetie, how old is your baby now?  I think 3 weeks but not sure.  Keep a close eye on the temp though and hopefully it goes down soon

    :Like PP, 99.2 is normal temp for newbies (according to my pedi). Hope she feels better soon!

    After two weeks old my doc doesn't consider it a temp unless its 100.9 or above rectally. Before two weeks old she told me to call with any concern.

    I took her axilary temp. I'm too paranoid that I'm going to hurt her if I take it rectally! (dumb, I know!). If it's still up tomorrow, I'm going to take her to the pedi. I just get freaked out because if it's 100.4 or higher, our pedi sends them straight to the hospital :(

    Actually, 99.2F is not considered high. And if it does go above 100.4, I would go to the hospital. Babies under 3 months should NOT have a fever.
