Question for moms that had Epi's...

I had an Epi within 2 hours of active labor starting, and an emergency C section after 9 1/2 hours...

Lately, I have been having really bad pinching back pain.. My lower right side.

It started a few weeks ago when I went for a 2 mile walk.... So, I thought maybe 2 miles was a bit much for not being 6 weeks PP. So, in the mean time... (Im 6 weeks PP today), I have resorted to taking LO to the mall, and walking around there, further parking spots, etc..

As of today, the pain is so bad! I sat on the floor to play with LO on his tummy time mat, and quickly decided that was a bad idea. Lets not even talk about how bad it hurt to bend over and pick him up off the floor.... sitting certain ways hurts too...

Help! Is this normal? Does anyone else have weird back pain after an Epi? Is this FROM the Epi?

Ps- Sorry for any typos... LO is waking from a nap, and about to have a melt down!

I just had my 6 week pp visit on Monday. I brought this up to the doctor as well. I get a pinching pain in my lower spine that hurts quite a bit. He said it's really normal to have some pain from the epidural up to a couple months after birth. It definitely sucks.

You and I delivered on the same day! I had an epi and an emergency c-section too, but no back pain that's unusual for me. I usually have back pain though. I would check with your doctor just in case. Especially if you feel it's interfering with your day to day.
