i have a question about babyface's gappy grill..

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
dd has 2 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth at the moment. there is SO much space between her top two teeth. did your lo's teeth grow in with any gaps? do the teeth grow together once more come in or will she probably just have a gap? are these dumb questions?

    Yes we have that too.  I'll find a pic when we get home to post.  Huge gaps and he has exactly 4 teeth and the top two are twice the size as the bottom one.

    And you could rive a truck through the gap in his upper teeth

    Yes they go together when the others come in. My DS1 had a gap when he was a year old, now his teeth are perfectly straight ! Enjoy the cuteness while it lasts. I think baby teeth are adorable.

    DS only has his 2 bottom teeth right now, they are angled almost to the point that they make a triangle with his gums. I'm assuming they will always be crooked cause DH's side of the family all needed years of braces. They all have super crooked teeth.

    They will shift naturally to make room for the other teeth, I wouldn't worry too much!  DS1 has a little gap, it's cute.  Lauren Hutton made an entire career out of her gap... :)

    that is how dd's top ones are. you don't see them at all unless i push her lip up and then it just about takes your breath away, they are so big. she's like a cute little beaver.

    i mean if she ends up with a gap, she ends up with a gap. i was just curious. however, i do hope the sizing of her teeth evens out (which i'm sure it will) otherwise she is going to have it rough in school.

    Almost all kids have jacked up teeth until the permanent ones come in.  Pre-schoolers all have major gaps in their teeth.

    I don't know whether or not this is true, but I heard that it's actually good when baby teeth have gaps.  This will enable their permanent teeth to grow in with a proper amount of room and therefore making their teeth straight, instead of crammed together.  Could be an OWT, but it makes sense to me.  Ask Mopsie.

    My kid is a beav, too.  His bottom teeth are tiny and his top are like, damn kid, no wonder those ones hurt.

    Sky has a gap! I've been wondering the same thing. I was thinking they'd move together once he has more teeth (although he already has 4 on top and 2 on bottom.) 

     DH has a gap, though, so...  :S
