Ex H signed off on a passport a while ago because DS and I live super close to Canada and go up all the time, not a big deal, it's a quick drive up and I've never been asked any questions even though our last names are different etc.
This time we are going on vacation, a cruise! We will fly to FL and be cruising through the Carribean (thanks for the trip Mom and Dad
). I'm wondering if I will need anything other than the passport (that he obviously signed off on or we wouldn't have it), and a copy of the PP.
ExH is MIA and has been for over a year and I'm in the process of changing our PP from every other Sat. visitation to phone visitation only, it won't be done before our trip though.
Anyone with any experience travelling out of the country? Will I need him to sign something (he doesn't know we're going)? I'd ask my lawyer but am trying to save money - I'm sure you all know how that goes! :P
TIA
Re: Travel out of the country ?
In my bag
d90
50mm f/1.2 * 28-85mm (Macro) f/3.5-4.5 * 70-300mm f/3.5-4.5
Opteka Fisheye Adapter * Lightscoop
Can you call the cruise or research specifically if you need extra documents?
Though, if it's not in the CO, I have no idea really.
I'm in Germany with Jake while my ex is in Canada. And I have a notarized statement stating that I have full custody of Jake and I can travel in Europe with Jake for a year.
For future reference, according to my attorney - the answer is definitely YES. It needs to be signed and notarized by the non-travelling parent with information about the dates of travel, to where, and how to get a hold of them if there are any questions.
Fun times for me to get that!
