This may be a dumb question, but since some of you know your babies are head down, where are you feeling kicks now? I can't figure out what this little boy's position is, but I'm pretty sure he's not head down. I have been feeling the bigger movements only on my right side, which I think are his legs, and then smaller movements all over my belly, but mostly on the left. I've never had any kicks even close to my ribs. Maybe it doesn't necessarily mean he's still transverse, but I have a hunch he is. Any thoughts?
Re: Question for those with babies head down
I feel his *butt*? like right under my belly button most of the time..and i haven't felt kicks or jabs anywhere near my ribs either..co-workers have tried to feel and tell me if he is head down but they can't tell either..this isn't helpful..but I'm in the same boat!

I was very confused about this as well! We had an ultrasound Tues, and baby is head down. He has his legs off to my right side, so I feel all the big kicks on my far right side, and i don't feel anything on the far left side. I can also feel movement down low when he twists and moves his arms. I only feel kicks to my right side ribs where his legs are.

I am amused with myself. Re-reading my post, (not that this really matters) but I completely switched right and left! She is hanging out on my right side, kicking on my right ribs, and the pressure I feel down below is on the left side. Supposedly her back is in my right side.

Both my girls have been head down for weeks. I feel most movements on the right side of my belly, below my breast, and low low low. I still feel a LOT of movement in all directions
LO is head down and sort of folded like an upside down "V". One side of the V is his head & chest and the top/other side is his butt & legs. I have never gotten any kicks to the ribs as he has always been low and, I suppose, mostly folded. I always feel his hiccups low on one side and his kicks fairly low on the other side. Sometimes he pivots and his feet swap sides but he seems to stay head down either way.
I get a lot of movement from his butt and back and can sometimes see him practice breathing if he gets his back right up against the top of my stomach.
This kid was transverse until about a week ago. I started feeling cramps down in my pelvis and lo and behold, he had switched to head down.
His butt is right in the center of my belly, about an inch or two above my belly button. He moves his butt from side to side, but mostly, he is keeping it in the center with his back coming up my right side and his feet kicking me on the left side. He has never kicked my ribs. I think he might be too short.
This exactly!
This is basically where my boy is. I had a scan today and his head is down (face to the left, I guess). His butt is pushing out my right side and leg is kicking to the left, trying to make some more room in there.
I was saying for weeks that it felt like both feet were lodged in my left ribs - and sure enough, we saw them in an u/s a week or so ago. I'm getting strong nudges in the upper left and middle of my torso, and then headbutting to the cervix.
She's still pretty active, even if she is running out of room.
