17w appt...what goes on?

in Pregnant after a Loss

Since my last OB was such a dud and I'm seeing a new OB a week from Monday can you tell me what your Dr. discussed with you at your appointment around 16-18 weeks? I know I'm getting an ultrasound to date the pregnancy (SOP for this new office) and I assume he'll go thru the basic new patient stuff. But my last OB never told me a damn thing or asked any questions.

So tell me what your appointments were like! Thanks!

    Since you're a new patient things will probably be different but my 17 week appt was pretty much nothing.. Get weighed, pee in a cup, wait for the dr, listen to the heartbeat..

    Peed in cup, weigh in, blood pressure, listened to hb with doppler, took blood for the second part of my screening (that was for spina bifida).

    Well I had my 16 week apt Tuesday and I peed in a cup, weighed me, listen to the heartbeat and we talked about when I would feel the baby move. I also asked a few questions and then scheduled my big u/s.
