Recs for Hoag-affiliated OB/GYNs?

Hi! Looking for an OB/GYN with the Greater Newport Physicians, and am completely clueless on whom to choose! Any recs?

I went to Dr. Dubyak/Dr. Illeck in Huntington Beach. I really liked them both, but the wait times were sometimes super long. And there was another doctor on call when I went into labor, so neither of them delivered my baby.

I don't think my DR is with the Greater Newport Physicians, but he is fantastic! Wait time isn't too long (unless there's an emergency w/his patient) and he always always has enough time to answer my long list of questions each month!

is greater newport physicians a group? not sure what that is but i LOVE my ob ... her name is deborah grouse w/the doctors office for women ... she's delivered all 3 of my girls and i love her and her staff! would totally recommend her to anyone ... hth

Dr. Rhonda Flora is Amazing!!! She is my OB and I absolutely loved her. In fact she is also the OB for a lot of the nurses at Hoag. Very sweet Dr. Let me know if you want more details.

My baby girl was born on August 8 and my doctor was with the Drs Office for Women (Dr. Hsu) she was AWESOME! But has since left to move to Singapore and I switched to Dr. Kent. She assisted with my c-section and I saw her in the hospital after my delivery. She is really nice. And I just love their office, Dr. Hsu's assistant Jennifer (whom I LOVED) stayed and is working with Dr. Kent. Their office is right across the street from Hoag and I had such a great experience.

You are right to choose a doctor associated with Hoag - it's the BEST hospital in the world to me! I had such a wonderful experience there!

Ditto Jodi, I see Dr. Kent with the Doctor's Office for Women, and I love both she and her staff. She delivered both of my nieces and has always been prompt in returning calls, answering questions, etc.

I love Dr. DiRocco. He's incredible and his staff are always so sweet. He's been with Hoag forever and I was referred to him by several women. I'm so happy with him!

I second James Barber. He is the best. Never rushed. Whenever I have a questions, he always answers or calls me back the same day. Takes his time in the room to answer both mine and husbands concerns.

Also, I agree with Hoag being one of the best hospitals in CA in Womens health. They have won many national recognitions for their excellence in care. They also set extremely high standards for the physicians joining them (reason why GNP is their only IPA).

I can recommend Dr. Gigi Kroll in Newport Beach. She is located at Fashion Island and is affiliated with Hoag. I actually switched to her at about 13 weeks from another doctor, and she has been absolutely wonderful.

i see dr. charles moniak - he's fantastic very calm and always takes as much time as you need. he was recommended by my infertility specialist dr. dourron.

Dr. Agnew. He is not part of a group but accepts most insurance. I LOVE him. I think he is the longest practicing OB at Hoag right now (he is in his 70s) but, you would never know it. he is so up to date on issues and very calming!
