Boob pain...

On Monday I was diagnosed with mastitis and put on antibiotics, now I have a huge milk blister on the same breast. I am using hot compresses but it hurts so bad. Please tell me someone else is going through this and it ends sometime. Any info on how to elevate the blister faster? My LO is 6 weeks today so we are still nursing through the pain....lots of pain. TIA!

    I am in the same boat....diagnosed on Monday as well. The antibiotics and cream they gave me have worked wonders but I also have a blister. Luckily it's pretty much only painful when LO first latches. I'm hoping someone else replies to this as I'm also wondering how to get that to heal so I can be more comfortable. I see my doctor this coming Tuesday; maybe she will have some ideas?

    My "blister" turned out to be a yeast infection brought on by the anitbiotics. I am on quite the regiment now to get rid of it. So don't try and pop it or anything in case it is yeast and not a blister. I was so glad I called my lactation consultant...it is starting to feel a little better. Best of luck! Stay strong!
