But I'm sure it was a fluke anyways...
HE SLEPT IN HIS OWN BED ALL NIGHT! (for the first time since December 2009).
Woke once at 3am, I laid with him for 10 minutes until he was back asleep, and didn't wake again until 6:30 am. This is so unprecedented. Incidentally, I tried somethingchanged's magic trick (not actually giving it any credence but just for sh!ts and giggles) and repeatedly told him yesterday that Mommy wanted him to sleep in his big boy bed all night long, and if he woke up, to just lay back down and go sleepy and I'd come get him in the morning and we could play. I did the same thing the prior night and he slept until 1 am or so (still later than typical) but since it didn't work that time I don't really think this is why it happened. It was SO strange getting ready this morning with all the bedroom lights on, not having to sneak out of bed to go to the bathroom. But I did miss him a bit. LOL.
Anyways, I'm sure this won't happen again until he's 12 but for today, we're VERY excited (and told him how proud and happy we were that he slept in his own room all night over and over).

I think this is GOOD news. We are buying Jack a big boy bed this weekend - he used to sleep at least half the night (or more) in his crib but he's done with that crib so has been sleeping with us all night. I want at least half of my night back (without being pummeled by kicking toddler feet) - so we're on the search for a low double bed for him (I really want a twin over full bunk bed set so we'll see if we can find something semi-reasonable - PB Kids has them but they're over 1500 dollars - out of my pay range!)
CONGRATS on your little guy's great sleep - sure you'll have more bumps in the road but this is a GOOD sign!!
