Key Lime Cove- reviews please!!

We booked rooms here with several friends after visiting their website. I started looking up some rating sites and it has gotten mostly horrible ratings... some go as far as to say it has bed bugs, horrible staff, not safe, over crowded... etc...

Any reviews are welcome and I am hoping that it is not as bad as the reviews made it sound!

Thanks!

  • Sorry, I have never heard of the resort. Good luck!

  • I went there for a bridal show a couple of years ago and it seemed really nice.  I've never been in the rooms however.  I've heard good things from people I know who have gone.

  • I've never stayed there, but I too was there for a bridal show a couple years ago. To me, the hotel was smaller than I thought it would be.

They have a giant arcade and the water park, but that's all I really remember for the kids. They also have a bar there with some food, but I don't remember any other restaurants.

I can't vouch for the rooms there.

Hope you have a great trip!

  • Never been there, but FWIW, MH has forbade us to ever go there.  He works in a walk-in clinic near there, and several times a day treats kids for injuries they had gotten while there.  Now, I know that kids always get hurt, no matter where they are, but he thought it seemed like a lot.

  • Yes!!! I responded to you post on 24months +, but here it is again. We have been going since DD was 10 months old, she loved it then and loves it even more now that she is able to walk. We go at least 2x a year since DH and I get deals through our jobs. The rooms are super clean, the staff is very nice (I have never had any issues) DD loves the slides and the kiddie water play area....Yes, it can get crowded, specially during holiday weekends, but the same thing goes for malls, Disney or any other water/amusement park. Kids will get hurt playing in your backyard or just the regular park, you just have to be watchful and don't let your children run wild. The floors can get slippery in the waterpark area (because of the water), so I just make sure I am with DD at ALL times...she love to go down the slide, so my husband will push her from the top of the slide and I receive her in the pool ( the slides are not very big and the kiddie pool is about a foot deep) The arcade area is very nice, they have several little restaurants inside the resort and a Spa for the adults. I hope you do decide to go, it is very nice and worth the money in my honest opinion. Have fun!
