Do you leave home without make up?

Curious, as I saw a Mother at the park today with soooooo much make up on that she actually looked like she should be heading out on the town for the night and not at the park!

I always wear foundation & a bit of lipstick but never fully made up face to the park! WDYD?

Re: Do you leave home without make up?

  • I almost never wear makeup. I don't really care about it. As long as my husband finds me beautiful I don't care if I have dark circles under my eyes. I've never been one that really cared about wearing it either. I didn't start wearing it at all until I was in college and even then it was just a little eye shadow and a little under eye concealer.

  • Normally, make-up is hit or miss, but I have my hair done, even if it's pulled back. Lately, I haven't done make-up or my hair, really. I'm so tired after I get out of the shower, that I just can't stand trying to do my hair. In my defense, my hair is super thick and takes at least 20-30 minutes to blow dry. I do like to at least have foundation on, but I don't see why I should put on a ton of make-up for stuff like the park.

  • I do my make-up every day for work.  On the weekends it is hit or miss though, just depends what is going on.  Some weekend days I don't put anything on except moisturizer and maybe a little mascara.  Other times I do full make-up because we;ll be out and about.  Just depends on how lazy I'm feeling.

  • I'm the crazy girl who will put on a full face of makeup just because I love my pretty eyeshadows!  LoL  If I'm running to the store real quick or something, then I'll probably just put a little powder and mascara on, but typically I'm a makeup girl.

  • Guilty.  I don't leave the house without make-up (and nail polish).  I don't get made up like I'm going out in the evening, though.  At the very least, I wear cover-up, powder, eye liner, and sometimes, mascara.  There are probably only a small handful of people who have ever seen me with no make-up at all.

  • I wear makeup for work and clients, but rarely on my down days.  My DH isn't fond of makeup so I've gotten lazy about it.  I did put on makeup almost every morning of my maternity leave, just to give myself a nice I'm not just amommy pick me up!

  • It depends on that day.  If we're just staying at home, no.  If we're running errands, probably just foundation and a bit of lip gloss.  If I'm going out, seeing friends, etc., I put on my "full" face.  That being said, I didn't wear a ton and it probably takes me less than 10 minutes to put it on.
  • I do when I go to work but not a ton .. but on my days off it depends on our plans .. I will often go to the store and run errands without makeup (except some concelear for my dark circles..)
  • It's hit or miss for me, depending on where I'm going. I'll often just do lip stain for work, mascara about half the time. On the weekends if it's just running errands, hanging around at home, then no. If we're seeing people, I'll do mascara, lip stain, sometimes eye shadow.

  • I have a 2 min routine I do real quick in the bathroom at work or in my car before meeting someone....mineral concealer, powder, shadow, mascara and a bit of blush..and some chapstick. My friend once dared me to give it up for lent...I don't wear much but I don't like going without anything (outside the house)
  • I am bad. I never wear make up really almost never. I only wear it when we are going out or going to a party or something like that.

I am the same. Itss not like night time makeup going out face stuff. but I do wear makeup everyday. As I have gotten older my skin has changed and become uneven, I believe in looking my best and I am not best without it. Ahh to be in y 20's again with a nice fresh face.

I LOVE Makeup.  I've left the house without it on, it's not really vanity thing for me, I just love it.  Makeup doesn't make you feel fat, it doesn't fit one day and not the other.  I love that if it doesn't work I can buy something different and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.  I put makeup on if I plan on leaving the house that day, I also coordinate with what I am wearing, if I go to the park then yes I'd be wearing a full face of make up.  But I don't go out wearing a dark smoky eye on a regular basis.  That's saved for dinner dates. • I HAVE makeup...somewhere...unless my daughter swiped it.  But I don't wear it.  Special occassions, parties, but usually even then I make an appt. with my hairdresser who does make up as well and for a fraction of the cost of good mascara, she does it for me.  I'm blessed with great genetics and get compliments on my skin a lot - and I look "young for my age" so I don't fret at all.

Currently, I only wear makeup if I go out with my girls, or if we are going to a function. I will sometimes throw on mascara, but for the most part I am just a chapstick girl from day-to-day.

When I go back to work, I will be doing hair and makeup every day!

  • I aoocasionally leave the house to run to the grocery or pick cruz up from preschool with just mascara and some powder but otherwise I usually have make up on or at least bronzer and my eyes done.  I very rarely wear lipstick though

  • What is make-up? I wear it on dates with my husband and weddings. Which means once a year average.
    Mama to Z - 5.5 years, G - 3.5 years, & M - 1.5 years.
  • Even when I "wear makeup" it's not much.  Moisturizer every day.   Most days a little eye liner and chapstick.

  • To me, my before and after makeup face means that I wear make up pretty much every day.  To save my sanity, I have my makeup bag at school and put it on when I get here.  Putting it on at home.... there's just not enough time.  Sometimes on the weekend I'll just do mascara.

The other day, I had a super busy morning at school and didn't have time to put on make up.  One of the first graders asked me why I had a black eye.  Yeah, those would be undereye circles, buddy.

  • I never leave home without makeup.  I love wearing it and how it looks.  I don't judge those who don't wear any out, and usually don't pay attention either way.  If someone wants to wear a ton of makeup to the park, who cares?

  • I wear a Bare Mineral Foundation, and curl my eyelashes daily. I put on mascara if I'm doing something dressy during the day. I add eye shimmer if I'm going out in the evening. I don't wear lipstick, bit use Bert bee's colored chapstick.

  • I do my hair and makeup every day, regardless of our plans.  It's part of my wake up routine, and it's my little alone time every day.

  • I try never to leave home without some make up on because it makes me feel better about myself, more confident, and better ready to face the world. More power to the ladies who choose not to but IMO, having just the right amount on makes you more approachable, more respected, and makes you respect yourself more.

  • I always try to cover up my zits/even out my face with some mineral foundation and put some mascara on.  If I don't, someone will inevitably ask if I'm feeling well.  I do put on my face every day for work, but that still only takes me 5 minutes tops: foundation, concealer, blush, mascara, maybe tinted lipbalm and eyeshadow.

  • I almost always wear some kind of make up, including tinted primer, powder, concealer, eyebrows, some shadow/eyeliner/mascara, blush and lipgloss.

Obviously I don't fit all that well in Seattle.  But eh, I like it.

Um, people in Seattle wear makeup.

This post begs to differ.  Or maybe it's the subset of Seattle that I see daily?

Ya, must be the area of Seattle you see daily... Indifferent Most people I know and places I go have people that wear makeup daily, or at least out in public.  I'd hardly say that you don't fit in because you wear makeup, like you're the first person in Seattle to do it.  The various cosmetics counters and makeup stores seem to do good business in Seattle and surrounding areas.  Someone must be wearing it.
