At her follow up today she'd gained 12.5 oz in 7 days.
Sadly, her sleeping is back to exactly what it was before the supplement. So we had 3 really good teaser days where she STTN and then back to the up every 2-3 hours.
I'm really struggling. I know that this too shall end eventually, but who knows when. I am having trouble imagining how I will go back to work and function on this little (broken up) sleep.
Re: I am no longer starving my child
I am so glad to hear she gained weight! That's a lot too! YAY!
As far as her sleeping- I know it's so hard but she will get into a rhythm when she's ready. I feel like since she is just know working out the eating situation know things will start falling into place.
When do you go back?

SO almost 2 more months! That is great! You have plenty of time to establish good sleeping habits by then! I know it's a lot of $ to take it unpaid- I took a lot of unpaid time and it was a stretch- well worth it though!
This is a GOOD night in our household...make you feel any better? lol.

Glad to hear she packed on some weight!
About the sleep, I worried about that too before going back a couple months ago. My LO was waking up every 2-3 hours (and still does, except for the rare occasion where he'll give us a 4-hour stretch). But, I think your body learns to adjust. I'm functioning quite well considering he wakes a few times a night, on average. Sometimes I'll think, "wow--that was a long stretch of sleep!" when it was really only an hour and a half, LOL. I know having LO sleep next to me helps a lot...when he wakes I just pull him up onto my lap to nurse and he's back asleep without either of us waking up too much. But, I know that kind of arrangement is not for everyone.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that she starts STTN consistently soon, but if she doesn't, just know that you'll be OK and that you're right--sooner or later it will pass.
Great job on the weight gain!
I wouldn't stress too much about the sleep. A lot can change in 2 months. Just think how much she's changed already!
Yea, I know others have it much worse. I'm just not doing well with the broken up night sleep and being all alone all day long with an infant who doesn't nap either. I'm very starved for adult interaction and since H is out of the house for 12-14 hours a day, I tend to go to bed right when he gets home. I'm lonely.

Shells right. You have to get out. I used to even just go to Starbucks and hang out- I got to know the baristas there and looked forward to my time out and about. I always planned outings to break it up when I was home. It's not easy.
I am bad about following my own advice and do not go out as much as I would like. But you need to get out of the house. I LOVE going to Panera with another mom friend of mine. You get your food and they LEAVE YOU ALONE! KWIM? I notice if I get LO out of the house he seems more tired too.
I hope the sleep situation works itself out, but they find their way. LO STTN at 3 months then began waking again at 5 months. Grrr...I just deal with consuming caffeine.

Both of these. If I take DD out after her first nap of the day, the other two naps always go better. And the naps didn't start happening consistantly until she was about 4 months old, and weren't predictable until 5 months. She still doesn't nap long (usually), but she takes 3 naps at approximately the same time every day. Getting out of the house would be good for both of you!! Hang in there!!

Glad LO is gaining weight! We're going for a weight check on Monday.
But you definitely have to get out! I went to a new mom's group every Thursday and really enjoyed the company of women who can relate to everything you are going through. I also found a cafe where I could hang out with LO, have a waffle and a latte, and read a magazine. I also went out with mom friends.
You're so lucky you have so much time left! I go back to work next Thursday and am dreading it.
God no lie. I'd kill for 3 hours.
