I'm very happy to report that we have a plan! Whooo-hooo. So far all my tests have come back and things look great. Waiting on the chromosomal analysis for DH, which hopefully should be here early next week and then we have a plan.
I so love my Dr - he's great! I was feeling a little lost (and like I had no control over what we get to do) so I emailed him. Here's our plan: (we're not doing IUI - so skip that part).
When you start your next period, we should treat you with clomiphene, estrace (both oral medications) and then see you at mid-cycle when your surge is positive or not later than day 14. At that time, we'll do an ultrasound, look at your lining and follicle(s) and give you an HCG injection if all looks well. Intrauterine insemination would also be an option if you wanted to add that for efficiency. After ovulation, we'll treat you with vaginal suppositories containing estrogen and progesterone (beginning three days after the HCG injection). Hopefully, all of that will make you produce a better egg, a better embryo and a better lining that will sustain the pregnancy.
Anyway - -- just thought I'd share. I feel a sense that there's a
light somewhere in the distant tunnel...and although the tunnel always
seems to get longer with new worries, I'll take that light....despite
how small it is! ![]()
Re: TTC: Yay - we have a plan!
This is AWESOME news, Donna! I'm so happy you have a plan and it sounds like a great plan at that. You know I am sending your truckloads of healthy baby dust and I'm so happy you are getting closer to that light at the end of the tunnel!
Hugs!
