We have this monitor. You can buy an extra camera (up to 3, actually), which can be added to the monitor for use in multiple rooms at once.

How is the sound on this monitor? Can you always hear what's going on in their room (like a sound machine for example), or does it only kick on when it hears a loud noise like crying?

We have this monitor, and the sound drives me nuts because it only picks up loud noises - so when he starts to whimper I don't hear him, but when he starts to scream it all the sudden blasts to life and scares the crap out of me.

At night we use this along with a regular audio monitor that we got for free so that we can hear him all the time. It's annoying.

    The sound is streaming and relatively clear (as far as monitors go). No WiFi interference (like we had with our last, Sony/audio only monitor). We've been really happy with the purchase, so far.

    BTW - I still owe you an FBM regarding my OB/GYN/midwifery practice. Although, the office (and delivering hospital) are out my way, so I'm not sure you'd be interested.

    We have the Summer slim and secure too, and I think it's great. No interference, no problems, and we can hear everything.
