Re: WTF Skin?

  • Have you changed detergents, perfumes, etc lately?  After my last loss, I'm getting those lovely, huge, under the skin pimples on my chin / jaw line.  I use Proactiv on and off but nothing except sensitive skin bathwash/soaps regularly.  Sorry I don't have any other advice!

  • I'm having the same problem. But I'm chalking it up to crazy hormone changes as I just had my loss a couple weeks ago. But it sure is annoying to have pimples everywhere!

Sorry I don't have any suggestions though. Sad

  • I had the same problem. I had to see a dermatologist because it was driving me crazy. She said my acne was most likely caused by yeast because it was itchy, blotchy and had white bumps. I was given a prescription to take, face wash to use, and even shampoo to use. I finished the prescription pills but have to continue the face wash and shampoo for another 3 weeks.

  • I'm having the same problem! It started a few months ago when I got my BFP and it hasn't stopped. I have 3 zits on my face and my boob zits are coming back :(

A friend of mine said she really likes Proactive so you may want to give it a try.

  • Ugh me too!! My back looks like a mountain range. Gross I know. It has not been this bad ever, even when I was a teenager. I'll take suggestions too! I am using a dermatologist product that isn't working. Poor DH has to put it on for me, I feel so bad for him. My face is terrible too, but not nearly as bad. Oh and my neck too ick! I know it is from the hormones, but it was not nearly this bad after my first m/c.

  • My skin has been awful since my m/c.  My doctor said it's totally normal and due to the fact that my hormones are up and down like crazy.  The bad news is that I can't use my old standby prescription cream because it's a retinoid, which apparently is a big no-no when TTC.  The even worse news is that he said that  the benzol peroxide products are no match for the hormones.  FML
  • Under the skin zits (cystic acne) is tough to get rid of and are usually caused by hormones, especially the ones along the chin/jaw line.  That's really common in with PCOS and is actually an indicator of PCOS (not saying you have PCOS, but just trying to explain how it is hormonal). My sister is a derm PA so I get lots of samples of Rx acne meds.  Right now I'm using Finacea (sp?) which is considered safe during pregnancy...I figured I get used to using it now so hopefully I can keep using it whenever I get pg again.
