Thx. DD is about 40 lbs and we will be in Disney in May. DH thinks it would be easier to have a carrier for the times where she gets really tired and wants to be held (we aren't doing a stroller) but I told him idk if they make one for 4+ yrs.
You might like the Boba as well. But the Ergo would be better if you plan on using it for another child in the future. Reason being that you can use the Ergo for infants, using a special insert, where as with the Boba it is intended for older babies and toddlers.
Diapers.com carries both brands and you will get free shipping/free returns. I also see that there is a $20.00 coupon code with them for the Ergo right now.
Re: Oldest you've worn your child and what type of wrap/carrier?
The last time I wore DD was last month on vacation. She was about 33 months old at the time and approx. 35 lbs. I wore her in an Ergo.
I really only wear her in "emergencies" these days because she prefers to walk most times.

I wore Lilia in the Moby until 11 months.
Now, I wear her in a woven, RS, and an SSC. She's 17 months and 28 lbs.
See siggy for DD's age. :-)
She's very small though- 26#, 35" tall.
I fancy a scandi style mei tai for the most part, but ring slings are good for quick trips. I've never been a SSC kind of gal.
I rarely use a stroller, and have ever traveled with one.
I had my almost 5 year old in a double hammock in my petrol pfau last weekend. He was sick of being dragged through furniture stores.
It didn't last more than a half hour but my shoulders were fine!
