Preemies

f/up: Mo is in the hospital

I almost cancelled Morgans follow up for this morning but I didn't.  She drank about 250ml in the last 24hrs her normal is 90ml every 2-3hrs.  Sometimes every 1 1/2 hrs. So I told the pedi everything and she talked with another dr. After having a high cbc and low temp they decided to do a direct admit.  She's getting an iv now.  She's spitting up alot and diarrhea.

  • I'm sorry!!
  • Thanks everyone.

I'm pretty bummed because if I were still pregnant and didn't suck at it then she wouldn't have been poked and prodded all day.

I'm still doing the blame game with myself.

I just keep thinking if she hardly made it 3 weeks without getting super sick, how is her childhood going to be?

Peyton is sick almost once a month, literally & she wasn't a preemie.

Today was supposed to be st. patrick's day picture's day, because I waited until the last minute, since they've both been sick.

No one else even has a GI bug, at all, that I even know!

Aw, please don't think about it that way.  Remember, she's not even to her due date yet.  The first 6 weeks especially, babies have virtually no immune system so can get sick from even the tiniest thing.  It's kind of like how RSV can make preemies and even FT babies extremely ill, when you or I can have it and barely even notice possibly having a cold.  The important thing is that she's getting the care she needs to get better and that she'll be fine once they're done treating her.  As she (and Peyton) get older, they'll both get stronger and have greater immunity to all of these little bugs they're picking up now.  Hope she's feeling better soon.
