I had a CD15 ultrasound yesterday on my monitored Femara cycle. I had one mature follie that was 2.2 (which I assume is 22??). She sent me down to get an Ovidrel shot to trigger the follie and told me not to take a HPT because of the trigger and false positives. I get that.
I forgot to ask her about OPKs. I would assume they would also give false positives? I know she said that I would release the egg between 12-36 hours after the trigger. Yesterday morning when I did the OPK, it was clearly negative. I had the shot yesterday at 4pm. This morning, I did an OPK and it was clearly positive. That's when I started thinking that the OPK could be a false positive too because of the trigger. Am I right or do I pay attention to the positive OPK? TIA
Re: Ovidrel and OPK Question
Thanks! That's what I thought.
I actually like to use HPT's after the trigger until they turn negative to make sure the trigger is out of my system. that way if I (ever) get a BFP, I know it's not left over trigger. It's also nice to see that you really can get two lines on those things.
Then again, I do have an unhealthy additction to peeing on small plastic sticks.

Good info, thanks!
OOOO I have always wanted to see two lines. Maybe I should do it just to see it for once.
