Pediatrician or Family Dr Recs - Livonia area

We need to start looking into a dr. for the LO - I still have some time but I've read it's good to look earlier and get one lined up ahead of time.

As a kid, and still today, my primary care Dr is a Family Dr so he treated everyone from us kids to our parents. I really love the practice - have seen all the Drs and like them. I'd take LO there but it's in Dearborn which is about 20 mins from us in Livonia. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying especially when they are young and going frequently for vaccines, etc. 

I'd like to see another family dr if possible, and even switch myself since it would make life easier. But I have no clue who is good. A pediatrician would be fine too, I could keep seeing my Dr. in Dearborn since I don't go that often anyway.

Anyone have a Pedi or Family Dr in Livonia/Canton/Plymouth area that they love?

    It's close to the area you are looking at.  Providence Park Pediatrics at Providence Park Novi.  Love the practice.  We see Dr. Newcombe. 

    My PCP is also there, Dr. Carter at Infinity Primary Care.

    My sister's pedi (she's only 17) is in Livonia.  I can ask my mom what the name of the practice is.  I think it's at 7 Mile & Farmington, but I'm not 100% positive on that.

    I used to live in Livonia but moved before we had kids.  We just went to a clinic in Northville for MH and I on Northville road.  I'd not recommend it for kids, we never saw the same doc twice.

    I'd look in the hospital network you're delivering in, so YOUR pediatrician can be the one who comes to do the checks on your LO in the hopsital.  I did that with my DD1 and found it convenient to have our first in office appointment that my pediatricians were already familiar with me and DD.
