I've been asked to/volunteered to coordinate an Easter egg hunt and snack time at daycare. I thought I'd get a bunch of plastic eggs, and get some sand buckets and write each child's name on them in paint pen (instead of baskets, so maybe they can use them at the beach, pool, etc).
For snack, I was thinking of these cupcakes (though they'd have to be store bought--but I could put the ears, whiskers, etc on them myself, I'm sure), maybe some grapes (I was thinking mixed green & red ones in a basket to look like "eggs"), and some other sort of snack like crackers, cheese puffs, or something, and juice boxes.
Do you think this sounds ok? This is the first thing I've been "in charge of" for daycare, and I don't want to look like a loser if it's not fun. hehe. I can ask the other parents to help out, but if this seems sufficient, I can handle it myself.
Also, if you have any other Easter/spring themed snack ideas, I'd love to hear them! I can't do anything homemade, really, but can use cookie cutters, embellishments, etc to make stuff cuter. ![]()

Re: Easter egg hunt/snack at DC
Thanks! I definitely plan to check out the dollar spot! :-)
I saw some of the little buckets you're talking about using there too in the same aisle. GL!
