I'm trying to watch a show on the computer, but it keeps buffering, and I cant turn on the tv. I can't sleep in our bed because I can't get comfortable, so I sleep on the couch.... only problem is DH wants to keep me company by sleeping on the other couch.... and snores his way happily to 6 am.
I can't sleep either! I was about to post the same thing. For the past 4 days I have woken up at 5am and then get sleepy enough to fall asleep at around 7 when my kids are waking up I was just bragging about how since we have gotten our new mattress I haven't had sleeping problems... I jinxed myself! I also have a cold which doesn't help at all.
How nice of your hubby to "keep you company" on the couch. Great intentions but snoring really doesn't help. This morning I decided to come down to the living room, turn on the tv, and fold some of our laundry! If i'm going to be awake might as well make myself useful. I know i'll be tired later which really sucks... especially since it's spring break and i'm sick and would like to get better so I can do fun things with the kids. I have so much mommy guilt this pregnancy... I miss the times when I was always doing fun things with them instead of resting so often.
Hopefully your pregnancy insomnia doesn't last the entire pregnancy.. that would really and truly suck. I would say try not to take a nap but that may be the only way to get through without feeling overly exhausted all the time! I have to nap during the day for at least a little bit whether I sleep through the night or not.
I too have been taking some nice "naps" then up for 2-3 hours before I can fall asleep, which of course is not too much time before my alarm goes off. I did however take 1 Tylenol PM last night and was finally able to sleep aside from my pee breaks!

I had to just tell DH to go in the bedroom...he tried snuggling up with me on the couch, and I was so terribly uncomfortable lol...poor guy. We've only been married since the 25th and already sleeping seperately....but at least it's due to pregnancy and not because I can't stand him lol. Since I started taking zantac I can sleep in the bed again since my acid reflux is about a million times better. So at least the past two nights have been great! But it's a day by day basis.
I had planned on trying to go to bed about 10 last night with the help of an ambien, but his friend stopped by at 9:30 and didn't leave until 1!!! Kept saying "boy I'm so tired" and the jerk didn't get the hint. We literally had to say "you have to leave, we're going to bed!" So of course I slept like crap. I get afraid that I will sleep so good l will oversleep...oh well. One more night then I can take an ambien guilt free and sleep in on saturday!
My dear unborn child likes to have a party between about 11 and 1. A full out rave dance party. She also thinks it is nice to wake up/get the hiccups every time I get up to use the bathroom. So I don't fall asleep until around 1 and then it takes me about 20 minutes to fall back asleep every time I get up to pee. I am sleepy.

I've had 32 straight weeks on insomnia so far but the weird thing is that I haven't been tired once... it's like this insane amount of energy which is great but super annoying at night and I'm afraid that it's going to all catch up with me one my LO gets here.
